This is actually an attempt to see how many people I can get to sustain in my
attempt to get as many of you as possible to comment on others works as much as
they can. THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME!!! Since I've joined I found a lot of great pics
with thew or no comments and since I belive that nothing is worst then
indifference I'm trying to start a comment frenzy^^
I'm sure you all like to recive comments and appreciate them so why don't you do
the same for others even if they are good or bad comments. So lets see how many
of you join me in this........
Good luck in that. I personally feel majority of members are too lazy to leave
any comments. All they want is easy download of scans and wallpapers. My level
is solely through comments in gallery and forums. I do not do scans or
wallpapers so leaving comments are the only way to say thank you and raise my
level.
In fact, one of the mods already raised this issue and he was a catalyst for me
to be more active in leaving comment. Also, many times I came across nice scans
or wallpapers and no comments. But I did see favorites given. Why give
favorite with no comment?
Conversely I'm pretty stingy giving out favorites. Too many members complaining
about the new restriction of 10 favorites per week. Favorite should be
wallpaper so good that you want to use it as your desktop which means it better
be really good for you.
I can understand what you are saying cocidering that you're the only one that
replied to this. Altough I still hope that others have seen it and are
concidering what I said.
I hardly ever give out favorites because I can find at least one major flaw in
almost every wallpaper. Seeing as how I'm practically a graphic designer and I
could point out what was used in the wallpaper by members, I can tell what is
bad and what is good. As for making comments, they are important towards
improvement. No comments equals the same mistakes and the same mistakes entails
the same comments over and over again. It's a cycle. You improve, you may not
have to see the same comments over and over again.
Favorites on scans is a no-no. In fact, those who submit scans should only be
given percentage for making the submission, not for getting favs though they
would accumulate in favorites so they act as quick references for other members,
and scans should not be part of the work valuation because there is no work done
in scans.
I totally agree with you on the scans part. It feels like getting credit for
somebody elses work. I have absolutely no skills whatsoever with the compuer so
wallies in my favourites are there only because they appealed to me in some way.
What interests me the most are doushinji and originals both those drawen by hand
and those that have been computer editted as long as it's entirely the work of
the one that submits it. For those I give good coments and favourites more
easily as a meen of encouragement.
I didn't ralize how important it is to recive comments about your work till I
got the firts comment of the doujinshi I submited a few days ago so I started to
comment as much as possible and I made more friends here that way, so it really
worth it.

I agree. I can't even begin to count how many wonderfull artists I discovered
just by brouseing and leaving comments. Search and show interest in what others
do. Just open one page (gallery) and if you only look at that members favourites
and friends you have countless options from which to choose.

Maybe you're new so you'll just have to wait a little. That was the ideea to
brouse & comment sp we won't always be doing that in our circle of friends.
Now rest asure that at least someone will comment ^_^

have people thanking me for commenting on their wallies and that makes me feel
good toO!
and now i also see things from another perspective since i starting submitting
wallpapers. without comments i have no idea what other people might want.
because from my point of it, it looks rather good. so without comments mean no
improvement for me!
Im a newb here and have started to try and figure out how to be as good an
artist as a lot of these people. I think your points are very valid on
feedback and will try and leave some comments about the wallpapers that I like.
