I use PhotoShop but I'm thinking of experimenting with Terragen terrain builder for a few of my wall backgrounds.

Still i Need sugestion.Witch Program More Or Less usefull For One Or Another Thing. Like "Maya".What I Can Do With It. And ect Things.
i use Photoshop and Illustrator CS
Maya is a 3D rendering program, to start out I suggest you to use the following bit-map based grpahic programs
paintshop pro gimp photoshop 7+
Personally I use illustrator to vector my stocks and scans and use photoshop to do backgrounds, I dont know how to use 3d rendering programs yet.
But more advanced waller tend to use a lot combination of things but mainly photoshop/paintshop pro/gimp will do fine to start out with.
