if u want help for viruses/trojans/worms go to sites with professionals that
help you
they are usually forums and the moderators/admins usually respond with a day or
two (if they dont they are prolly really busy)
here is a site for spyware removal and such http://www.spywareinfo.com/
just go to their forums and search up W32.Spybot.worm, or tellcoma.exe(register
first -> free) If u cant find any post that helps you, make a post of your
own.
try to read the rules first so u get helped as fast as possible
if the virus/worm isnt serious, use programs such as Ad-aware, S&D Spybot
(free and work great). Just google em they should be under lavasoft and
security.kolla. Make sure to fully update em and stuff.

programs now can remove this.... So how's your
status??
Seriously this online scan reallly does work.
My friend PC once was infected with some unknown virus. The infected file was
svchost.exe.
The problem with svchost.exe is that it's a require file for windows to run
properly.
I've tried almost all major antivirus programs, and it just simply won't get rid
of it saying
this is a system file or unable to delete or quarantine!
Then I've tried the online scan at it got rid of the virus without deleting the
important file.
The virus scans work and if it don't seem like it can remove the spywear
infection u have try either going into safemode with networking and turn off
system restore or give me a pm and i'll see what i can do to help u.
Download a program known as AVG. The program seems to remove all viruses as long
as your definitions are up to date, and it protects your computer at the same
time. Lastly, for even more protection against viruses, set up a user password.
update: I downloaded Spyware Doctor and it got rid of about more than 200
infections and such but, when I scanned the folder WINDOWS\system32 with Norton
AntiVirus.. the virus IS still there!! how do I get rid of it??
hmm AIM me at : t3chb0yg3n13 or xo p3rvy x d0rk xo .....I'll help u
there...
another thing is to find the file.....then Ctrl + Al + Del and find the file
process and then end process and then manually delete the file.....if it doesn't
work...try it in safe mode...

Since you got over 200 infected files, then I really suggest you to do
is backup all your important data files onto a blank media.
After you are done with that, format and reinstall you entire system.
Trying get rid of that single malicious files is just a waste of time.
Some malicious program will regenerate after you remove it, thus leading you
into
a loop that will never end.
Format=Everything will be erased!!!
Every program you had before needs to be install from the original CD or from
the
original .exe (execution) file.
Item: tellecom.exe
Virus name: W32.Spybot.worm
It's been in my comp. for so long and I don't know how to get rid of it!! Please help me...

If your anti-virus program can't delete it, one thing you can do is re-start your windows in safe mode and delete it manualy.
More information and instructions how to remove it, you can find it here.

kk.. thanx. i'll try whatever[not literal] you guyz say..
Hmm... I use hijackthis for most of my spyware/adware/virus -removal needs. ^_^
Try Avast antivirus. Its pretty good against worms and Trojans. With avast you can run a pre-boot scan which will most likely kill your worm issue.
If that doesnt work store it in a virus chest, go into Safe mode, and delete it.
Oh FYI, Avast is free.
Here try this online antivirus program, it can get rid of almost anything that other can't
Try this
On the upper right-hand of the page you should see a link: Free online virus scan.
or you may try this
KB890830

I use Norton.. and that above virus can't be deleted or quarantined.. It's found in windows\system32
try the virus scan that i've mentioned in my previous post.
you must use IE.
edit: for that virus scan to work properly.
ok.. maybe some other time[or tomorrow] since I'm SO sleepy.. It's 12:30 am here now...
The virus scans work and if it don't seem like it can remove the spywear infection u have try either going into safemode with networking and turn off system restore or give me a pm and i'll see what i can do to help u.
Sleepy that late (actually early since it's 12:30am) is not good for you nor your health.
heh.. I know.. but I'm used to it already. It's funny how you turned into a doctor-ish dude. XP

you can also delete in cmd prompt
1. I don't think that's a virus......I think that's more of a malware/adware/spyware thing...
Get Spybot Search and Destroy or Adaware SE Personal at download.com and then do a scan and try to remove it that way
get spybot 1.4 or lavasofts ad-aware personal
search for it at www.download.com
hey....that's like called spamming....I said that in my post.......
