well, i wanna know about it.... are you guys completed the games all by
yourself? like Final Fantasy or anything else.... or if your friends have help
you to beat some of the session? well, i'm probably is completed the games all
by myself....
I completed the main storyline in ffx-2 in four days. I had to use a strategy
guide to get the secret ending. I still have to get the extra scene between
Tidus and Yuna, but my ps2 broke.
I always finish mine by myself. If anything, I sometimes help friends who don't
play games as much finish theirs. I don't do it for them, but I help them get
past places where they are stuck and can't get past wherever they are at no
matter what they do. I like to see them make it to the end, but I want them to
feel like they get the credit for it.
I finish games by myself. Then I finish them again, making sure to get
everything ... THEN I'll look on the net for cool things I may or may not have
missed.
I also pass all the games i buy by myself. I dont like using strategy guides. i
only would use them after i already passed the game on my on and want to get
everything in the game.
Most games I complete them without help. There was a period of time when I was
slightly younger and I wanted to get all the stuff in one shot n used
faqs/guides. But, somehow doing tat seemed to make the game feel boring.
Since then, used this formula for most my RPGs (worked for me at least):
- First play - Search n try to get all stuff myself without help (usually led to
80 -100 hrs...)
- second play - check walkthru n if many fun stuff haven found or done, go and
play again
I'd rather play games alone, if I get stuck I'll look in a walkthrough on
GameFAQs or try to find my own way out of the situation. I don't want anyone
else playing my games for me.
But when I was a kid I'd let some of the bigger kids in the arcade beat bosses
for me sometimes, but I was like 5 back then
Sometimes I use guides ONLY for Horror or Thriller games
(fatal frame series, anyone...)
I... just don't want to die young because of heart attack, that's all
Man don't worry using guides is perfectly fine, buying them on the other hand is
dumb unless you are a collector
GameFAQs has everything you need for free.
And IMO the guides on GameFAQs are much better and much more in-depth than most
official guides.
Depends on the games, most games i play myselft or sometimes i get together with
some friends and we play games like halo 2 and burnout revenge, but i play all
other games like ff's and others rpg's by myself. Sometimes its fun to play a
game with friends nothing beats the classic split screen action or just lagthing
at how u can't get a gold in burnout and keep trying takeing turns.
hum... Most of time I finished the game by myself, I kill the final boss (when
there is one), and I come again at my last savepoint. After that, I watch on the
net if I missed some things, and I do the quests. If I can't do because I'm too
far, I just begin a second time the game

me i always get the feeling that i would miss something
important.
I usually beat the game myself, then use a guide to see what I may have missed.
There have been a few rare times that I used a guide to beat certain games
though.

you're a loser.
Maybe that's why i even level up by myself in MMORPGs and whatnot.
Using FAQs are like cheating to me, and I dun like
it.
Dude no, using guides is nothing like cheating. You still have to do things
yourself and the guide is there just to point you in the right direction.
For example if you want to get all 108 stars in a Suikoden game it's good to use
a Guide cause some of the characters can be missed and just for that your whole
game can get messed up and I strongly doubt you'll have the time to replay a
Suikoden game cause they are huge and long.
Well it depends on the game but still guides are nothing like cheating.

Strange thing someone wants to know ><
Well, I've finished every game by myself

Yhe first time I always beat it by myself, then I might get a walktrough for those few extra gimicks I missed.
I always finish games on my own and without any guides (unless I absolutely cannot pass through certain stages).

Nope... Usually I use the guides on GameFAQs as well...
I play multiplayer games with other players of course. But as far as completing a game, I never:
- Have other human help
- Use Cheat codes
- Use Guides
I always complete a game by myself without aid.
