Three common sins around the globe dude. And they are triplets, same faces and
attitude.
Meet: Lie - Not telling the truth Cheat - Being unfair and betraying the
trust of others, being fraud Steal - Take the property of another
wrongfully and especially as an habitual or regular practice
These three brothers are dangerous despite on their little ways.
In your opinion:
Who is the deadliest among these three brothers?
who is the most violent and causes the most havoc in someones
life.
I'm haveing a really hard time with this one...they can all cause death...I'm
gonna say cheating because it also usually involves lying...stuff you can always
replace...
Why? To lie is so easy. you can do it to anyone including the ones you love
most. Lying is also an addiction. You cant stop once you start, and the
further you go the harder it is to get away.
To lie is to betray ones most sacred gift to another...their trust. You betray
their trust and you betray the person in one of the most horrible ways. Its a
violation. You betray their trust and cheat them by denying them your trust,
because if you have to lie, you do not trust them as they trust you. And when
they find out, to them you have taken something from them. You have stolen
their ability to trust you.
To lie is a combination of the other 2 sins. You just cant find anything
easier, more addicting, or more hurtful than a lie.
Lies can be forgiven, but they are never forgotten.
I would say cheating. Whether it is on a test, in real life, with people,
etc... If there were no cheaters, the would would be a better place. But what
can you say about human nature? Most
people are just not honest.
Lying is something I could live with. If you could lie to save someone's life,
sure, why the h*ll not? Liars lose trust because they lie. That is obvious.
So then they are offically deemed 'untrustable' and life goes on, what about
it?
Well sure you can lie to total strangers and be ok with it. You can even make a
nice career out of lying (Politicians anyone?), but when you lie to loved ones;
people that hold their trust towards you in greater sanctity than some Joe Blow
does on the street, you commit a sin that is hurtful and dangerous.
I guess thats the essence of my arguement. If you lie to a loved one. Other
than that lying to save a life is not bad, and I wont lose sleep over lying to
some face on the street. What did they do to deserve my trust and what did I do
to deserve theirs?
Yes, in that case, I agree with you. Lying should be put into categories.
Lying to loved ones is forgivable but cannot be forgotten. I never had an
experience though, so I can't really have a say about how lying affected me.
For educational purposes, can you give me an example of how bad lying to a loved
one is? I'm open for new ideas.
Quote by 7eight7I would say the Lie.

Yup, Lie might fall into addiction. . and the first stage between these three
Hmm an example. Well Im a great example. I used to lie all the time. It was
my little scapegoat that got me out of alot of trouble, but it always came back
to haunt me.
Watching my mother cry because of a lie that I told and she found out. It was
utterly heartbreaking. Having my own sister lose faith in me because I told her
I would keep a secret and didnt (I was young).
No really watching my mother cry because of my lies has to be the worst. I
still get choked up about it.
And another good example is cheating on ones spouse. What a web of lies. And
when the truth is told, sacred relationships are broken, along with human
hearts.
Can you honestly feel anything other than utter contempt after you make someone
you love cry?
To know that you are responsible, its just so sad.
*If you cheat in a relationship, you're lying also... that really hurts
*Another example, a sales representative, promoting a product, and he cheats a
customer by telling a false info... he lies and at the same time he steals a money... (2 combo)
You know what? I think lying, stealing, and cheating all belongs into the same
category. Usually, you can't have one without the other. It's just all a big
process we call 'flaws in human nature.'
i would have to say desire, envy, and hate are my biggest enemies right now.
(This is reference to Buddhism) It is hard for me to decide on those 3.
i chose cheat.....i hate people who cheat on their own friends just because they
wan to achieve something they want!!thats not good..but they still do it for
their own purpose>.<
as for lie..it depends..i used to lie a lot^^some r good lies n some r bad:P
p.s.but i usually lie about unimportant stuff like eat medicine,do homework n
bla bla..
as for steal...hmmm..some people do steal stupid stuff..but if u really wan
something that ur friend has..u dont have to be that extreme..STEAL FROM THEM!!u
can have the "thing" sooner or later^^or u might find that is
redundant anyway.
well i think cheat is the most deadliest
and violent. cheating will cause you without trust from anybody, and that may
cause you feels depressed and commits suicide. or the person who's been cheated
would felt that the world is betraying them, and commits suicide too.
all of them are related, since lie can also lead to cheating and stealing.
Quote by kawaiikiyomii say all of
them- the Liar, the Cheater and the Thief. if you're
cheating, youre kinda lying and stealing as well so i guess i go wif
Mr. Cheat.
I keep thinking of that one country song that sounds bad because it's called
"Drink, Swear Steal and Lie" but the chorus is:
"I want to drink from your loving cup
Swear I'll never give you up
Steal all your kisses underneath the moon
I wanna lie here close to you look at what you made me do
Darling you're the reason why
I drink, swear, steal and lie"
My reasoning then is... Some lies can be done for good reasons, sometimes people
need things stolen from them in order to know how important and precious they
are
So Cheating is the worse, there is nothing good at all about cheating, it only
has the bad associations of lying and stealing associated with it.
Never lie, steal, cheat or drink.
But if must lie,
lie in the arms of the one you love.
If you must steal,
steal away from bad company.
If you must cheat,
cheat death,
and if you must drink,
drink in the moments
that take your breath away.
Lying has to be the deadliest. Lying brings about discord among people, so if
you're not truthful to begin with, eventually you will be found out. Therefore,
if you told a bunch of friends about something and one of them found out that
it's a lie, that one friend could tell others and you'd be done for. You could
probably get away with stealing if not many people find out, and you might be
able to get away with cheating if you play the game right.
Put it this way...if you're lying, you're cheating and stealing at the same
time, trying to make things go your way when they'll only backfire in the end.
i would say cheat. i dislike people who cheats others. it's totally
unacceptable! by cheating, you're making use of other people, and treating
everyone else like garbage. at least, that's how i see it...
Steal: Nyyyer... You can get away with
it. It's only bad if you get caught. 8D Cheat: You're usually hurting yourself
when you do it. Not me. (: But yeah, Mrs. Guilt would be pounding on you for a
long time. Also Ms. Self Respect.
I think the badest is lie. You can twist way more than you can handle with it.
And Mrs. Guilt doesn't show up as much.
I think all three can be good. You can lie to save someone pain. You can steal
to feed a loved one. You can cheat to get a better job and support your family
more effectively.
However, if you imagine the worst result possible due to one of the three, I
would hold lying to be the greatest sin. When you lie you present yourself as
someone or something you are not. Think of how many people lie to get action
out of their significant other. Think of how many people lying about their
fidelity in their marriages. The single lie of saying you love when you do not
has to be the greatest sin you can commit in relation to a single other person.
It is a denial of their values and commentary on their worthlessness. If you
say you love when you don't, you create an emptiness in yourself and you create
a space for deconstruction in the other. Even if you do not cheat on the other
party, you will make all their efforts and sacrifices on your part meaningless.
The vacuum you create leads to their emotional collapse.

Desire and envy can be useful in some cases.
If you desire something it gives you motivation
If you envy someone it gives you purpose to move with them or to look up to them.
However I agree with you on hate. What a horrible emotion.
i chose cheat.....i hate people who cheat on their own friends just because they wan to achieve something they want!!thats not good..but they still do it for their own purpose>.<

Mr Lie.
then Cheat.
then steal.
Gee... a comeback thread?
Well, lying goes to cheating and cheating goes to stealing so you don't have to choose since these three are related to each other.
