To all artists out there! what mediums do you use to color your anime?
watercolor, postercolor, markers, color pencils... I prefer using watercolor
combined with markers.
I use Acrylic Paint- all you need is the five elementary colors, and your're
set to go. I do not prefer color pencil because whenever I use them, they have
these annoying white holes when coloring the artwork, paint does not do this-
the colors are smooth, consistant and can be manipulated easier than color
pencil. furthermore one can change the background color of a certain area of a
work- paint a base color, and add in gradients, shines and glows of other
colors. there is a drawback though: an excellent acrylic painting takes around
8x however many hours it took to draw/pen the work. i find myself taking up 60,
70, sometimes 90 hours of my time to paint a good work.
I use my computer to colour a lot of my work these days. It's a double edged
sword as it's cleaner, but takes me alittle longer to do. I use ink on most my
images before scanning them to work with.
it depends on if i feel like coloring
sometimes i use colored pencils, regular lead pencil or ink
sometimes ill do a pencil/ink combo
or i wont color it at all
cause i'm lazy bu not too lazy i just leave my drawings black and wite
when i'm at the mood to color i use everything i can see and mixes the
txtures.....
I used 2 colour with my colour pencils...
But i realized that it leaves white patches sometimes...& it's
troublesome..
About using computer...Never done it before...

same here but when i really need to color it i use a black marker for the lines. thin and thick.
i use poster color for everything else.

i used to use pencil crayons a lot.

i don't know how to uuse computer to colour and colouring usin watercolour can be messy^^

i have colored only one of my pics and it sucked so i now leave them black and white look better that and i'm to lazy
i use poster color... but its kinda dirty.. after i try photoshop.... my poster color is forgotten.. huhuhu
but i want to learn copic.. i only got the skin pink and skin white...
