All people in MT what i know listen metal and i like metal (Rammstein )

Who is Rammstein ?

i really dont get this? anyway i listen to metal plus alot of other music, i have varying tastes

Yeah, they're a german metal band. I used to listen to them and metal in general but now I've switched over to rap, r&b, reggae, techno, and trance completely.

hmm...i dont like Rammestien. But Slipknot, Lamb of God, Disturbed are good.

Rammstein don't play metal. They play industrial (a combination of metal and techno). You could hear some of their work in xXx with Vin Diesel (though the movie sucked).

I preffer powermetal bands such as Blind Guardian (Germany), Nightwish (Finland), Hammerfall (Sweden) and Rhapsody (Italy). I also like J-pop and J-rock.

I like Rammstein too... I'm even in their fan club here xp...

Well... I hate industrial (such as Rammstein) but Heavy metal is great!! I love Metallica... The other thing I love would be punk rock (I think I know more anime-lovers listening to it than to metal) - especially the old Guns'n'Roses and Nirvana

Meaby you just know only people who listen this king of music. However i dont think that everybody here likes metal or heavy metal. Atleast i dont like slipknot its to loud for me but i know people who like it. It just depend on person.

Yea its true but i know is not metal of course . I like Rammstein because their style is special . [about Nightwish: How can one woman sing powerful metal?]

Well I love the metal, Black, death or Power, I prefer bands like Nightwish, Hammerfall, Iced Earth, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, etc, and RammstonE, I hope you can understand me cuz my english sucks, but the power is not in the voice, is in the sound of the band, you never listen Within Temtation, and Therion(well they aren't power, but they have female vocals) the important in all this is the great sound...
PS: Metallica is trash, G n' R Heavy and Nirvana Grunge

Unfortunately Metallica's new album was more nu metalish, and IMO it sucked (though it had some good tracks).

Oh, and I also like Pantera (u.s.) they played thrash, but some of their tracks were power. To bad they don't exist anymore

I listen to metal. Well, RammsteiN are not my favourite band and I listen to other genres too (u know the best )

I'm an anime fan but I don't listen to metal. hehe

I listen Rammstein (the old albums). Metallica (the old one), Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Static X and Pantera.....

I also listen jpop, my favorite group is Puffy AmiYumi, their songs are very cool and their style is very good

Uh, I don't know about fans, but otaku don't usually like metal. It's not that they hate it, but they don't listen to it all the time. ^^' Actually, I've been told that all anime fans _do_ listen to metal... and I was very surprised. Cuz most of the people I know like Japanese/Korean music and some techno stuff.

nightwish, rhapsody, mago de oz (u prolly dont know it anyway) and alot of other stuff like metal, power metal, industrial and stuff like that. now now what gets my concern it the fact that alot of good anime clips are made to hard music. ALOT of the best clips r made for nightwish, rammstein... that makes them so special and makes ppl to listen to their music.

Yes you are wrong. Nightwish IS Power Metal.

This is my field!

Anime fans like heavy metal for multiple reasons:
1) the sensation of Power, energy and electricity running through their veins
2) amusement & enjoyment that many power metal and hard rock bands give to the audience
3) sense of melancholy, sadness, desperation so strong in dark & gothic metal
4) sense of epic , magniloquence, opera & symphonic to excite the audience

Also about 70% of AMVs have heavy metal songs as soundtrack: many anime fans appreciate it and want to listen to some music by car, by stereo or hi-fi or by cd or mp3

Furthermore metal fans are always on the net, so it's not that only anime fans become metal fans, but it's more likely that metal fans become anime fans, do you agree?

Nightwish is Power Metal
Rammstein is Heavy Metal (Heavy Metal is a very very general definition!)

I have the discography of both Nightwish and Rammstein, and I like them a lot, though my favourite are Rush, Virgin Steele, Blind Guardian, Queensryche, Angra, Crimson Glory, Vicious Rumors ... (epic metal and prog metal in few words) but also Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Queen, Genesis, Pink FLoyd, Yes, ... and many more
