Hi everyone. This is my 5.1 update. (I had my fith update already, so I just do
a followup on my 5 one)
I do not know if anyone have came across people with bad language, hentai posts,
duplicated posts (mostly not your own work) and forum entries that would be
considerd spam. I've came across all of these in my short perioud that I'm on
MT. Each user that do naughty stuff like these get at least 3 warnings before
they are banned permanently or temporarily from MT.
Please help MT to become a better community by giving good comments on any kind
of post and if you came across something you think you dont think is good to be
on MT you can just click on the "Report" link. If you do not know how
everything works around here, just follow these links:
If these doesn't help you, just click on my avatar and post something in my
guestbook. I will be happy to help with anything, coz I took the time to go
through about anything in my 1st week I were on MT. I went even beiond the links
I have provided.
Now that MT3 is on the go, there will be people out there doing bad things even
if the "security" of the site have improved. Please be awair of any
bad activity around.
Be carefull what you say or what you do and if anyone wants to add something I
will be glad to update it more.

Why would MT be shut down. Weed out the bad apples and the tree shall

Guh, I realize I'm sounding negative. I don't mean to. I just want to
understand. Do you know the location where these booted members were? I'd like
to keep a watchful eye. I'm sorry such a thing had to happen. To you and to
anyone who can relate.
Some people are immature.
It's sort of like when some one asks everyone to be quiet (a teacher or manager
of some kind) and there's always that one person who has a problem with someone
else and what ever that person does the other has to speak aloud to get a point
across.

them not understanding english nor reading the policy can cause quite a
problem....

yeah, must of them dont even read the rules, like those who want to leech and
RIP the wallpapers from MT, are people like that, and other people, i think that
we should have bot chii to send a first meesage to ALL members who register a
account, she would be giving a short explanation abiut the rules and policy, and
for those who dont want trouble, she can give the link to the places in here,
what about that?( and i know it is possebli, cause bot chii can send PM to all
in here)

this i understand as not too long ago i made a post in one section of the forum
to which one person was going to leave due to harsh feedback on his/her
wallpaper/scan. there is no need at all for such things. i think if you are
going to give any negitive/harsh feedback on post/ or gallery items you should
do so in a cincere manor.
e.g on a wallpaer you may not like it and yes say so but indicate where you
think they went wrong and some advise on how you think they can improve instead
of say its cr*p i dont like it
i think yous get what i mean. but i dought MT would shut down. there is loads
of user to which i have found 9/10 of them are really nice friendly people. it
just cant be helped in a comunity this bad you are bound to get a few bad apples

people... I ask of you... Think before what you are doing. We are in a huge
community filled with almost 200 000 members. Most of them who do not like bad

As I have understand. We are all here for one purpose. I love Anime allot so

i saw some of you made some really nice comments. Well, if you are a new person
and made an account to MT, well. You will see... There at the bottom of the
page... There are 2 links called: About Minitokyo and Privacy Policy. Go ahead
and read them. It will only take a little of your time and they will help you
not getting banned on MT if you are clever inough by playing by the rules. As
for Wallpaper behaviour. I cant say much about that, well, mabe you should work
harder. Put a little more time into it. I will be adding some Photoshop
Tutorials on my Userpage in the future.

It's the sad truth there are alot of members like that here. :sighs: Sad to say
alot of them are newer members. The only reason some of them sign up is to leech
walls off the site and what makes it worse is that they complain about how long
it takes to get to level 10. It's not that hard it's quite simple in fact. The
only thing is it's seriously hard finding out the bad eggs from the good ones
especially with 200,000+ members. All I can say is if you see one report him or
her. It's the best thing you can do to help the site. To say that the site might
close is a bit extreme though. There are too many good members out there keeping
the site going.

The only people who would really improve the site are the members themselves.
The mods are just out there to keep the site organized, but the members are the
ones who really make the site happen because they participate here. Yes, a few
knuckleheads come by every now and then, but all in all, we do have the true
power to make the most difference. In most cases, I find that when a member has
say in things, unity could be established.
Well I agree that people should be reading the rules. I enjoy reading a lot. But
um... like some know, the noob bibles and stuff are being translated... and it's
really hard when you are in a community and you want to level up to download
good scans- but if you don't know english, you unknowingly spam, and you can't
interact well with people. You can't read the policies so you rely on submitting
gallery entries, and then you rip or dupe.
If you want to help out, you can perhaps write more on entrance threads, post a
few links to the stuff newbies should read, and report stuff when you see it-
perhaps drop the member a post in their gbook to remind them that what they are
doing wrong- this can help and lower the amount of work other people who report
or whatever can do.
Sometimes it isn't really the fault of those who don't know things- because
well... if you look at our forum, the noob bibles are not floating around all
the time, and it took me a while to actually notice the "support
button" (funnily enough)
But kudos for taking the time out and writing this
I think that MT fulfills different needs is different users; the artists use
this site as a free gallery showing - free in thge sence that they don't need to
hire a venue and get zero payment on any download. For the latter I praise
them.
Other users have a need to chat online with strangers who share a like-minded
interest and therefore seldom leave the forums.
I don't know why or for what reason MT was originally created - was it for the
galleries or for the forums? The point is that MT both serves and contributes to
the entertainment band needs of diverse people with diverse interests - but with
anime as a central tying point. For that I'm thankful - that people are willing
to spend time to upkeep a server and monitor what comes and goes on that
server.
People who hitches to such a forum to see how much people they can annoy or how
far they can go before they are banned are social leeches who should crawl back
to the log from which they crawled out. If they can't act civil then you're
probably a schmuck in real life.
People who complain about levelling up should remember that there are millions
of other sites on the net with similar or the same scans. If you're really a fan
you can take the time to look for it. And if you're harsh on someone's wall, try
to put yourself in the artists position - you've just put at least several hours
into a wall, and some wannabee rips you. Ever heard of constructive criticisim?
You know, building up instead of breaking down?
I love this forum and its cotributions, as does a lot of other people, as should
some other people.
as new as i am, i have come across of forums and galleries on the net in my
time, and this place has to be the friendliest one of the lot.
count yourselves lucky that you belong to such a well mannnered forum. some
forums allow more than others; some swear constantly to each other, and there
are certain forums that let them do that to a point or just do it.
constructive criticism is what i try to acheive. by habit i am a forum whore,
but i do criticise poetry and gallery entries, though i don;t contribute to the
galleries (not everyone on here can draw/produce anime, i am sure)
