Ahh, this is a weird topic to speak of. I know the people in this world are starting to accept gay people, but I for one, stand against it. Mainly because I'm afraid of them. And secondly, since they go against the Christian religion. I'm not Christian myself, but the Christians have kept this world intact for a few thousand years. And these people are opposing the church. Anyways, my final line is, 'Is the gay community out of place? Is it alright to let their feelings for one another be in the public?'

"People fear what they couldn't understand", I think it's exactly what's goin on.
Personally, I'm not scared of gay people. They could do whatever they want since they let me alone. Moreover, because they are different, is not a reason to reject them.

i have a few friends that are gay so i am not to worried. when it is their time to answer for the things they have done and the road they have taken then i will worry. i am christian and i dont have a problem with it. yes the U.S. was founded on those principals but that is being change as i write this. everyday things get worse and unless the government reaplies the christian principals this country will fail. (sorry i strayed off subject a bit)

christian didn't intact the world for few thousand years, because of christian and other religions there has been countless "Holy" wars. fighting over who's god is better. which is pretty stupid. and christian keeps on changing their "rules" or whatever you call it to fit the today's society(that goes for almost all religions). so therefore they're gonna have to accept gay ppl sooner or later.

i'm not scared of gay people too. actually, some of them are fun to be with. i actually have a gay friend and he's so funny he just makes me laugh all the time. gays do not violate christianity. it's the homosexual act (i.e. having s*x with a person of the same sex) that is bad. XO

I am not scared of gay ppl but i dont like to see a man cry and some gays cry even easier than girls (not women-GIRLS)... About them having sx relations with another person of same gender i just dont think about that and its fine... But mostly i dont care... Everyone is human to me...

I have a gay cousin. He's really nice, so why would I hate / be afraid of him?

There are three gay guys in my grade, well, I just finished school so I don't have to see them again. Anyways, one was fingering my straight friend up the ass while he was drunk! One bathed with girls(one being my cousin ), and the other one, I don't really know him(school captain). Some gay people can be fun I guess, it just depends on the person individually. I hope to never experience seeing a gay man cry. Ahh, religion keeps people intact. Its like an anarchy without them. I see religion to keep order within the people. Similarly, a government follows a similar pattern. Laws are like them commandments. Yes~ I am aware they are completely different but they do however follow a similar pattern.

I dont think straight people should be scared of gay people. They are exactly like us except they like people of the same sex. Other than that ONE difference, there really not anything else that separates them from us... also religion is not a very good excuse for hating people. THAT is the main reason why most wars start.

To deny something simply because of fear is usually a result of ignorance. I disagree with your assertation that "Christians have kept this world intact for a few thousand years." Thats a load of crap.

Also, the very existence of gays oppose the church, but its not like they are having some sort of crusade. Besides, its not like they are the only ones.

I would like to point out that we are not supposed to be a Christian country (only the self-righteous or the ignorant would claim such a thing), so to deny someone basic rights based soley on religion is silly.

but people say religion holds us together, that's true, for communities, but it's also what keeps us apart on a greater scale, wars have erupted due to these differences, same with class differences and the like, i highly doubt there will be a nation of gay people waging war on the world

2. no gay people are not opposing the church, the church is opposing gay people for being different and at the same time their saying that every person is created equal.

you have a weird way of viewing the whole thing about gay communities. it scares me even more than gay people because you are a person who disciminates people who are different by any kind. it's your kind of personality who would be able to go out and kill millions of people if you have a reason for it (which could be a person telling you it's legitimate to suppress minorities) and feel that what you are doing is good , in this case it doesnt matter if jew, gay, black, asian or an unbeliever, which you actually are, so think twice before so say something wrong because after a few years there might be a person who opens a topic like "scared of people who watch anime" ... i bet you wouldnt like that either and i bet there are a lot of facts that would make anime seem like opposing the church and religion.

p.s. a lot of very intelligent people who significantly influenced world history were gay.

Being a gay doesn't mean you stop being human, Kojiroh san, so I believe by fearing them you degrades them.

I am not a gay, I am a roman catholic, and vatican definitely oppose their existence, and I am not going to oppose my church. But despite the fact that I happened to be psychologist , allow me to see it from their persepective a little.

As someone "different" they often feel disgraced and thrown away by "normal" people. They misuderstood and most of the time feared and even insulted or socially tortured by people like you, who judge them even before you get to know them better.

Also, not all gay are drunk or junkers or whatever it is. Most of the time they become junkers or drunk because they are stressed and have no one to talk to, no shoulder to cry on.

So my resolution between this contradiction is to try the best I can to understand them, treat them like human, respect their principles and treat them equally. Vatican disagree to such social group, but they did not say we have to exterminate them or banish them right?

I know this will not easily change your perspective, nor fear, but next time you decide to fear another gay, try to imagine how would YOU feel if people treat you that way.

I dont know atm i didnt meat any gay in my life meaby because i life in a country where gays arent something typical. However i dont if they get near me or if any friend of mine is a gay i dont care until they start to pick on me ... Have you ever read a history book ? Millions of people have been killed because of religion(s), because of intolerance, fear... Religion is a way of living with his fears, his doubts, because it makes things easier when you think it's because of a god. And for that, it's a good thing. But people aren't better because they have faith. Faith can be good or evil.

I'm not gay, I haven't friends who are, but I have nothing against them. They are like other people. And it's the same thing with blacks, reds... There are nothing to understand and nothing to accept because they're just humans. No more, no less than the others.
