i have this big feeling mine don't, but they pretend to support me for my
happiness. well i ask this because i want to know if other are in the same boat
as me.
NO. my parents hate the fact that i watch anime and read manga. they think that
its for little kids and plus i am to young to let all of that "evil
stuff" get to me. my parents don't even pretend to suppor it. they yell at
me and my mom sneaks around trying to see what im watching.
and i always wave at her.
no way my parents support my love to anime and manga???they dun they take the
hobby as a childish hobby, even my friends also had the same experience, oh how
un fortunate we are....they also thought that i became a addicted and spent
their money on these worthless things... ohh how will i wish that they will be able to share this hobby
with me!!!!!!
my parents dont know the extent of my obsession but it dosent matter i've been
out of my house since i was 17 and im 24 now so i really dont care what they
would think

However, my parents support me enough. My mom even watched Naruto with me. She
also ask why luffy is so ugly,, he got big heart!
My mum is a big fan of manga and anime (she badgered my dad to spare a corner to
put shelves filled with manga), so no problem for me. My dad is the only one in
the family that is slightly disapproved of manga and anime, but since it is 4
(me, my 2 bros and mum) against 1, he is also quite fine/adjusted wif
it...:P
Well, my mom and dad supports me cause they know its
one of the big assets that makes me happy without spending
too much like in shopping. *i dont shop for clothes, i shop for manga*
so yeah. ^^
no..never...i remeber when i come home..and all my mangas(and anime movies..)
were in the garbage..and i wasnt allowed to get them back..i was so sad..and i
spend for them so much money... she says that they make mwe stupid2... and i
should concentrate more into school and not into childish shows....
but now i have a bf..and i´m living with him..and he also
likes manga+anime..and that is very good^^ coz now i have my books and no one
will throw them away again!
Nope, they say its a waste. My mom says it is an "expensive" hobby
(well it is). Plus, my parents dont even reconize the difference between each
anime. They can probally only tell the difference of Pokemon
my parents dont but they try to be supportive but their hate for it still shines
through i try very hard not to let it bother me and once in awhile i have to
remind them that this is what i like and you dont have to like it because its
just like their likes i dont like what they like and they know but i try hard
now to descourage them like they try not to discourage me

it rubbish. so I call his stuff rubbish. then he gets mad

Yes, they do- they respect any form of dedication or effort.
Plus my mom watches some of them if their exceptionally good. Besides, my family has a lot of quirks, having lived in so many countries.
