i just need help to find the alligator mask thing with out getting killed buy the pronas or the soilders around

I want to beat this game but i need to borrow my friends PS2 again

When you reach Chornij Prud, the swamp just north of Rassvet (the Abandoned Factory), There should be a pile of fallen trees on the left side of the water, swim under it to get to the other side.
Head up & you'll see an ivy covered tree. Climb it, hang down the branch & scale along the rope & you'll reach another tree.
You will see another rope just below you. Let go of the rope & when you reach the other rope, press the action button to grab the other rope.
Now, you have to time this carefully or you might miss the rope.
Proceed along the rope until you reach the elevated area where the Croc Cap should be.

I don't know about pirahnas or sentries in this area because I've played the game only in EASY difficulty, but there are Gavials (Crocodiles) there. I've yet to play the game again in harder difficulties.
