Hey, I will be going to Japan over the summer, and I was just wondering how many
people here can speak it- I can speak a little, and I have a program to teach
me, but I only really know greetings.
I can't speak Japanese at all, but I learn two or three words from watching
Japanese films. Such as no, no, stop, stop, more, faster, it's hurt,..... etc.
Sometimes I wonder where I learn these words(if you know what I mean).
Hehe.......^__^
nah I dont speak japanese too, but I'm taking japanese classes soon. ^^; Yeah,i
agree with crazypanda, i learn a few simple words from watching anime Really
it helps, especially watching Chobits. lol..
But it would be nice to know how to speak japanese ^^"
I don't speak japanes either, though I wish Idid. I have picked up a few words
and phrases from fansubs, which is kind of interesting. And after watching the
Inuyasha fansubs I don't think I will ever forget how to say "Inu Yasha is
brought to you by the following sponsers" They say it in every single
episode.
I know how to count to 10 in Korean, 99 in japanese, and in the millions in
spanish (although I've forgotten how since the class ended in December *doh!*).
I can introduce myself, yes, no, baka, etc. mostly words. I'm totaly lost on
understanding it though, I have Dynasty Warriors set on Japanese (mainly because
the subs are so bad), and I'll catch a word every no and then.

One thing that does happen when you know even a small amount of Japanese, is that you realise how bad some of the subs are.
