Please share your thoughts on the last episode of Gundam SEED Destiny .

my opinion:
1. the ending was rushed, similar to then ending of Gundam SEED

2. It didn't make sense why Rey would actually kill his father ( the chairman ), then again the ending plot was rushed.

Such knot tail estimate of is to proceed from the commercial consideration, hasn't been kill live creatures before Japan have the spirit KIRA of extremely high person, for keeping this form to be like to just arrange such final outcome.

My opinion:
1. The ending lacked punch. No doubt, it was thrilling to see Shinn defeated by Athrun's cool moves, but it lacked the intensity of GS's ending.

2. I thought it was rushed, but at the same time, I thought they spent unnecessary time on some talk (eg:chairman and kira/talia), while not having enough time on the more impt aspects (eg: Shinn's conclusion? Athrun's conclusion? What happens after Dullindal falls?) The producers had enough time, but they didn't focus on the impt parts. or maybe they tought Kira/Lacus's ideals facing off with Dull was the climax of the final ep...

3. Rey's betrayal was absolutely illogical. From his behaviour throughout 49 eps, it is difficult to even start to comprehend why he would except Kira's idealogy. A reason was given, but certainly not a convincing one.

The ending was a little rushed...we didn't get to see lots of ppl n their aftermath (like cgalli, lacus, archangel crew)
It seems a little way tooo out for Rey to actually accept Kira's reasoning when he knew Kira killed Raw... and the worse was....Rey could have escaped yet Talia ask him to die with her n the chairman... >o< Just some of my thoughts, feel free to disagree

Hm, as most ppl has guessed, it does feel quite rushed. In my opinion, there is a chance that the rushed ending is actually part of their campaign to make sure that they have enough ppl asking for another CONCLUDING sequel to end the story, thus making sure that shld they make the 3rd season, ppl would actually watch it, even if these ppl are watching the show just to know the final ending.....then again..maybe not. I just feel that there will be a 3rd season, sooner or later....and even though i am kinda of pissed by the ppl who make the rushed ending, i will still go watch the 3rd season, fervently hoping for the REAL ending at last....

I think the last episode was awfully predictable and very one sided because suddenly the whole ZAFT forces were so bad concerning fighting. I wasn't happy with the fact that the Archangel won. The whole series was about "who's good and who's evil" but at the end it just went cliche.

well Rei is a clone, one in many, so i guess talia saw how much trouble these guys caused, so suggested that it ends there in that chamber, by askin Rei to stay..

the final battles were ridiculous. there was no excitement level whatsoever. rey gets shocked by hearing something, kira slashes...done. what kind of final battle material is that. and i thought that in the end, they would definitely show shin realizing how wrong he was in trusting the chairman and thinking he was a big shot and all of that at the very end. but instead they just show him sitting there on some comet crying that he lost. there was no actual moral value, and they still didnt attempt to resolve the issue of conflicts between humans and coordinators and how they are going to uphold peace so another war doesnt happen (of course it will, or all the gundam series will end at gsd, leaving a terrible impression on one of the longest running anime series of all time). uhmm yea, my rant is done :D

I really didn't like how OOC they made Rey...and I really would have liked some sort of conclusion for Shinn. :/
Kira definately should not have gone into Messiah...

rofles...i didnt like on how rey listened to kira ideals..based on rey's personality he dont believe nor listen to anyone except to dullindal. So i prefer on that fight scene between them that he was just defeated or killed by kira instead of that rudiculus act of listening to kira. and according to Fukuda there wil be another sequel of gundam seed series but the title was not yet decided. and the OVA will be released on febuary. i tink the OVA is the conclusion to GSD and will lead to the start of the 3rd season ^_^
Honestly i wasnt satisfied on the fight and battle scene except on InfiniteJustice and Destiny's fight..heheh Shinn deserves that...i prefer he had died there LOL =D

How does anyone like the fight between Athrun and Shinn? Shinn should've gotten over that ridiculous "I'm so angry I can't think straight when fighting!" act. If Shinn is supposed to be a Super Ace, Athrun should've had a more difficult time taking him out. Hell, that's what I hate about Gundam SEED Destiny. There is no one capable of taking on Kira and Athrun. I would list Shinn and Rey, but they don't count, since they're not fighting along side those two and they can't put up a good fight.

Well I've got a theory on why Rey did what he did, although I too think it happen much too quickly and the ending was rushed.

Perhaps Rey realized that the world Dullindal wanted to create would be resemble his own life and the lives of the Extended, where as people have no choice in what they want out of life. Rey wanted to stop that from happening, not create a world where no one had a choice... perhaps listening to Kira stirred this realization to Rey's mind. And then he shot Gil... ::shrugs::

Though really, Talia leaving her child to Murrue made no sense. ::stares:: But I did think it was sweet that she and Gil died together... ::wipes a tear::

I thought the ending was hillarious... and I know that I'm probably being mean, but I seriously expected more from Destiny. And all I got was a feeling of deja vu every scene - so disappointed.

Rushed? Well... I personally thought that the pacing for the WHOLE Gundam SEED Destiny series was off. There were too many irrelevant things that could have been cut off, too many flashbacks that could have been cut off, and too many characters that weren't necessary (i.e. Heine). It tried to do too many things at once that it kept losing focus on what was important. You know it's true or there wouldn't be threads everywhere focused solely on Athrun's love life (or lack of)... -_-; (Not that I necessarily care about them, though Athrun is hot... er, hehe, I digress. Continuing,) when it came to the ending - the point that they had to start wrapping things up - well, there were just too many loose ends and so we're left with shoddy work and a lot of questions.

Where's the OVA?!?!?! XD
Yea..Lotsa feelings of Deja-vu..
But i guess Gundam SEED's ending was better..

I agree, they attempted to focus on too much at once. But I still enjoyed the series and the characters. ::shrugs::

Gundam Seed's ending was better, at least imo.

It was okay, but what's the point of having the main character as Shinn if he can do nothing to change the outcome of the story. In the end, all Shinn could do is watch Athrun and Kira destroy Daedalus(?) while he is in Lunamaria's arms.

Shinn's character was screwed over, imo. Nothing ever really worked out right for Shinn. And he only acted on what he knew. Yeah he was cocky, arrogant (sexy), self-indulgent, but he also saw his family in pieces. When he tried to help Stellar, it didn't work out (though I don't completely agree with his decision, trying to help her wasn't wrong in any way) and then she died in his arms. I feel sorry for him because it should have just been his show, more fans be damned, because it would have probably been better if the new characters were developed A LOT more. Shinn, Meyrin, Lunamaria, Talia, ect, ect... and either Rey or one of the extended should have lived. But that's just me. It would have been a new, interesting twist.

But that's just my opinion. I liked Shinn a lot, and in Destiny I liked him better than Kira (although Kira in SEED rocked, he annoyed me in Destiny) and I feel it would have been better if the spotlight wasn't handed back over to him. Though I am certainly a Kira fan. ::huggles him:: But he had his show.

Well... I'm tired right now so forgive me if I sound like I'm rambling. ::smiles::

The reason you've given would be what I think Shinn would have considered if he'd bothered to think (and thus turn against Dullindal before the end of the series). I saw Rey's conflict as more personal, what made him change in the end was that someone recognised him as a person separate from Raww, a person with a future that was not already known. It's not really about not creating more people like himself - every living being has a separate life - but simply that an individual's future is recognised as not being fixed in place, up for them to choose.

the ending was sucks why Shinn and Rey defeated so eay by those
annoying things.
where are the great battle like seed's ending when Klueze-sama fight kira?
Rey should kill kira and avenge for Klueze-sama's death!
that was the ending i wanted to see.

it'll be a surprise if there wasn't a 3rd season to the seed/gsd series simply b/c of the popularity of these 2 series...plus there are so many loose ends that need to be tied up...nonetheless the ep was action packed and provided some closure to the series although not much... :hmpf:

i agree with you.. i notice that from phase 46+ the show is being rushed..
they also liked shoved every one in the anime just to highlight kira who's
like superman in the final episodes.. the final phase is kinda disappointing
-_- -_-

Well I saw that point as well, since it was what Kira was saying. But really, that realization does not give a reason to kill Gilbert... ^_^ The one I came up with does, imo. I actually think he realized both. But to me, what Kira was saying is kinda obvious. >.> and so is the other one. lol.

And Shinn's the type who doesn't really think, but acts. Impulse really suits him if for nothing other than the name. He seemed to be listening to Rey rather than thinking on his own. And there are people like that everywhere. Remember when Gil asked him how he was feeling about the Destiny plan? He thought about what Rey said and then said he agreed with Rey.

the ending was extremely rushed, it definitely left a lot of possiblities for a 3rd season. it'd b realy good to see shinn actually do some growing up, in the end, he still learnt nothing, acting on impulse, and can't make decisions on his own, only choosing to listen to whatever that was to his pleasing at the time...

also, the athrunxcagalli reunion would b gr8 as well ^^

The ending was definitely rushed but hopefully the ova will wrap up a lot of the loose ends.
