I feel Shizukana Yoru ni from Gundam seed is the most romatic to me.

I'm a huge fan of Being Myself from Nadesico. I love it when Ruri sings it!

Toki ni Ai wa from the Utena movie. Also If you are my love from Tsubasa Reservoir or Tsuki no Curse from Loveless.

Key to My Heart (from the anime intro of Tales of Destiny 2) would be the most romantic in my opinion. Mainly because I listened to it many times last, last summer when I walked around the park every morning...and partly because I understand the English lyrics (and it's sooo sweet! ^-^)

I think sayonara from Saikano i sa good one

Ai no Uta from the second Inu Movie for lyrical music (well, that would be appropraite, wouldn't it? Love Song/Love's Song, Song of Love...bah, forgot how that translates ). As for just background music, I keep thinking of the Kaoru's Love Theme from Kenshin. *nods*

EDIT: On second thought, for the background songs, it depends on the characters and the scene. I mean, some songs wouldn't seem romantic at all without the scene and background info.

hmmm....kirei na kanjou by akino arai (from noir), sayonara from saikano, sayonara solitia by saeko chiba(from chrno crusade)and just about anything from hoshi no koe...the music is so beautiful...

Mine will be Singuru Beddo (DNA^2) and i think i'll include Izayoi (Saber Marionette)

I admit that I'm clueless... since I don't usually know what are the lyrics of a song... it's easier when it's a little easier to recognize a sad song without the lyrics, so one of the romantic songs I like - that I know it's about love - is Always by Kuraki Mai.

One romantic anime song that I can think of offhandedly is "Moon on the Water" (anime: BECK). Many of the songs in BECK are good, but this song is the one that I like the most in the anime (got many versions of it in the anime and all are gd in their own ways)

If game, I like "Small Two Pieces" (game: Xenogears). It is the only game song whereby I can remember all the lyrics.

out of all the songs I've heard, I would say Every Heart from Inuyasha

motherland from fma...

this is a tuff call for me... Hmm Somewhere from Slayers, Dearest and everyheart from Inuyasha, and Toki wo Koete from Lost Universe would be the ones I would go for. Since most romantic settings though go along the night and outside, I'd proably pick Toki wo Koete because of it's soothing melody and it makes me think of just laying there looking at the sky at night, though I will admit Dearest and everyheart also gives a good night like feeling.
