Bah! I had this crummy assignment!
I had to do a news article, film it, but then the filing we did turned out to be dodgy...all the effort spent in producing was lost...it was pointless!
I did a geography assignment which i put a lot of effort into, and i initially got a pass, but since i wasnt at skool the day it was due coz i was sick and then weekend was there, i got 30% off and i failed!
MEH!

Yes! this kinds of things also happen to me before:/ first, it was a project on a building we want to preserve. i tried hard to think of a building which we can preserve yet not preserve by the government.... somehow, i thought of a building. The worst thing is someone STEALS our group's idea and ended up scoring higher than our group >=( Tell me where is the justice? >=0!
Then, it was another project, chemistry project this time. Our group put in so much effort but in the end, we just got a passing grade :(
I really HATE projects and assignments!

I personally do not like just about any group assignment, especially if the teacher assigns the group. I like to work alone, or with my fiancee, but that's it. I do not like groups. I especially do not like it when your grade is based on the grade your group members give you. What if you did your best, but the group hates you? You get a bad grade, even though you did your best. Bah! to groups.

wow!you guys have alot of crummy asignments!
im still young and i dont have to do them yet!
besides, im the teachers pet^_^'(at least thats my friends tell me)
i like to work alone too!
the other ppl mess it up.

all assignments are pointless, i always put so little effort in and always get 80%+
-one where i had to perform a student research proj over the holidays i didnt do, i just made up -> 21/23
-had a computer studies assg, but i had no time to do since i went to hong kong and came back 3 days before it was due, i started the recess before the class started, and i think i got full marks
just today, is the last day for an assignment, i was about to start then my friend got me looking at "ham sup" for a couple of hours - i hate those kind of distractions lol

Well assignments do make you actually use your brain and learn for yourself... they are far more effective than receiving lectures I think... but I have had a few that were way too difficult or just really silly... I remember when I was in Primary school I used to take Italian and I forgot we had an assignment due lol so the night before I plagiarised all this info from Encarta... I got a C+ XP The worst grade I ever received hahahahaha
And for science we had these research things... I hate science... never bothered with them... >_>
But now I've graduated and I have too much time on my hands... no more assignments... but in Uni I'm sure there'll be lots of essays to write ^^;;;

I had biology homework and got 7 out of 10, The teacher said I had failed and got referred ( i.e detention) ! Our school only expects the best, man, life is hard. -_-;

Teamwork is important, but sometimes it can be a pain - especially if a majority of your team mates are lazy slackers with no ambition to contribute anything to the group.

I've worked in a group in many assignments where I was doing most of the work while the others were slacking off somewhere without a care. The assignment would usually get a decent grade, but I made a point of telling the instructor the names of the people who did little to contribute to the project.

Sometimes even if you try your best and a project doesn't work out as planned, it can be a real disappointment. Two of my friends and I were working on this physics project that would launch a ping-pong ball at a target; the more accurate the shot, the higher the grade. As it turns out, our launching device did pretty well in the test runs, but on the actual examination day, it failed completely - not even one shot hit its mark, and we received a zero. All the other groups didn't have a problem like that, so they passed without trouble while we had to go throught the humiliation of receiving a failing grade. It's an experience I won't soon forget, but that's life...

lol, high school was like that, lame teachers and lame school in general ~ must have been my area or my own dumb fault for not trying hard enuf ... whatever

college is wayyyyy better, but it's also a GOOD IDEA to have some kind of LAB or real life experience goin' for ya either on campus or off ~ it HELPS A LOT - school can only tell you the theory behind things

how about doing a four-page research paper about how technology advances business in general just for the purpose of trying out different formats in Word, all single-spaced. If this ain't a bs assignment to begin with (as no one even wants to get stuff single-spaced) I don't know what is.

Quote by schimkeall assignments are pointless, i always put so little effort in and always get 80%+

Er u lucky "%#&! Ok i procrastinate but still try very hard, and i have been failing! Argh! It has never happened to me! OK i was getting an A in accounting then i thought i don have to try and i will still do really well and know i am failing X(! So all i am saying is that u can't rely on no effort, and just brain....be careful!

Yes, we were suppose to copy an article on another piece of paper and change a few words. I just thought it wasn't important so I forgot to do it and my grades dropped! Man so unfair. Well it's partially my fault but ............... The teacher didn't even make it clear when it was due. Some people just get A on everything and I get below B. There is a Malaysian guy in my class and I asked him how long he studies. He said 30 minutes everyday. I was suprised. He's so smart and he only studies 30 minutes a day-_-. So I asked him "Have you ever got below A?" He said yes. He said he got Bs in band and physical education. First I was surprised he got Bs than when I thought of it, those 2 didn't have anything to do with studying. Some people are just born with brains. I thought he was genetically engineered like a coordinator.

I hate group assignments, I like to work alone. I cant stand not being in total control of my mark, because then your group members slack off and bring everyones mark down. Whenever I am in groups for projects, I usually end up doing most of the work, and everyone wins.

they all are pointless
