fight this war and the only means she can contact the guy is by means of a phone
and their messages take a very long time to send because of the distance. A tale

It's called Hoshi no Koe.
Also known as Voices of a Distant Star.
I have the DVD and it's one of my favorites; so full of emotions.
The whole animation is done by one person on his Mac G4
and not by some professinal studio.
