Has anyone been influenced or played an AMV a person made and just got
completely hooked to the song? Would you have been hooked regardless of whether
you've seen the AMV or did the AMV do something special to influence you (even
magical)?
The example for me would be [Koop] Waking Hour (Remastered).avi. I have never
listened to Vienna Teng's music before but now I collect all the albums. Would I
have liked it if I heard it out of the context of the AMV? Probably, but not as
heavily as I do now I think. It is almost like I have a visual picture to attach
to the song every time I play it.
Well, Koop's musical choices are usually very good...
Personally, SR-71 is a group I never knew existed but am now a fan of because of
the numerous AMVs that I have heard it on (Majin Kenshin's "Toushi"
and Sierra Lorna's "Im My Mind" are favourites of mine).
Well..... Moonlight Shadow (E-Rotic) and Ordinary World (Duran Duran) would be
the two I found via AMV. The Moonlight Shadow one was an InuYasha AMV, and
Ordinary World was a Sailor Moon one.

Toushi would have to be the same for me. It was also what got me into anime.
That was so awesome when I first saw it, and even looking back on it now, it's
still impressive just in how fast paced it was and yet coherent enough...
Oh yes, that happened a lot of times! ^_^ 'With or Without You' (I allready
liked it before I saw the AMV though...) became one of my favourite songs ever,
because of the Seishirou/Subaru footage. And 'Sound the Bugle' from Bryan Adams
became a great song when they made a Subaru-AMV out of it. ^^"
Those are only a couple of examples, but I love AMV's when they're well sorted
out. When the character really fits the song.
YEAH! This is the perfect Forum Thead!
Of course anybody here loves some music because of some AMV!
In my case, I absolutely love Iris, from the band Goo Goo Dolls! *-* I even had
never heard that music before my first AMV called "The Blosson's
Lament", featuring Sailor Moon R The Movie - The Promise of the Rose. Since
this one, I have started my collection of AMVs with this music; today I have 8!
Well, other musics that I should mention are Ordinary World (by Duran Duran),
Can't Fight the Moonlight (don't know who sings), Drops of Jupiter (by Train),
Dream (by The Cranberries) and sure lots of another ones that I can't remember
just now...
Nice topic! ^___^ I have over 400 AMVs and I love them all. But these are the
ones that I was so happy to get because they introduced me to new music.
Random Variable Production's "Euphoria"- Frou Frou
ERMac "Soul of an Angel" - ?
A2000A Studio's "Gravity of Love" - Enigma
Goat Video Productions' - "Battle of the mind: Can I be?" -
Nightwish
Aluminum Studio's - "Blue" Eifel 65 (this wasn't so much new, as it
made me see the song in a whole new light)
The Ultimate song that i got hooked on because of an AMV has got to be Mamboleo.
The title of the amv is called something like Odorikuu. But the song is
mamboleo.
Does anyone find getting hooked on foreign songs (other than Japanese songs i
mean) with AMV?
For example, does anyone remember that Naruto AMV "Whisper of the
beast"? It has quite a catchy tune and I honestly don't even know what
language that is but it seemed to mesh so well with the scenes.
Hi there..;)
the amv's has a lot of good convinations of song, anime and scene..
that is hat makeas and amv so great..
there re some like
kenshin ovas- into the fire(13 sences)
orphn-sad melody(dd remix breath of fire)
onegai teacher-echo(trapt)
and some more...

to end this..
is not the fact that you like the song cuz of the amv...
i think..(also it depends the kind of music you like, etc..)

*gasp* another Vienna
Teng fan!? i didn't even know that an AMV had been made to one of her songs!
*faints*
well, getting to the question... i have become an addict of "Glory of
Love" by Peter Cetera ever since i saw the Kenshin AMV for it... the
quality fo the AMV isn't the greatest, but it's a good idea and i love the song!
Hmm...I got into "My World," "Hold On" and "I Hate
Everything About You" from watching some Naruto AMV's I downloaded off
narutocentral. Not surprisingly, those were some of the better-synched videos
(not to mention I love rock )
yeah.. its addicting. I downloaded this amv from one of my friends websites, and
I got hooked. I played that amv 5 times a day (it seems).
haha, i even got my friend hooked.
Its called Cant Help Falling in Love with You by A*Teens. It featured the
relationships of people from Fruits Basket, Gundam SEED/Destiny, Full Moon wo
Sagashite, and DN Angel ^^
it was a gravitation amv and the song was something like "aand the cat came
back...". i was singing it all the time.. um.. yea. and i was annoying
everyone *laugh*
the other one was a nge amv and a song of System of a Down. Since then, i really
like them
It happened to me a bunch of times...but I got into Sarah Brightman because of a
Trigun AMV made to the song Eden by that same artist. I loved the AMV and fell
totally in love with the song....that was quite some time ago.

I'm not sure what the title is, I think it's "Listen to Your Heart"
It features Roxette's "Listen to Your Heart" and "Oh! My Goddess" and is by The Shadow.
The video itself is pretty crappy, but I play it over and over because the song is so powerful.
only hope - mandy moore
really beautiful song i discovered with an AMV of final fantasy

I've got a few that I really love from some DBZ AMV's
Rockshow-Blink182, The Kid's Aren't Alright-Offspring, and there plenty more

The song of that AMV

I'm addicted to Back horn because of a Yugioh amv.. It's so hard to find any of their music tho..
Still preocupied with 1985. A Azumanga Diouh AMV.

After watching an old FLCL amv, I was interested in the song "Shimmer" by... Fuel, I think.
There's also another song from another amv, but I don't know what either are (saw somewhere else) so yeah.
