hey, I´m portuguese and in portugal they are about to set a law
that forbides dating in school... I was just wondering what people from other
places of the world think about it... In case you'r wondering the political
regime around here is pseudo-democracy... ;P
Wow... this is about the most absurd piece of news I've ever heard... If you
forbid dating in school then what do people go to school for? Hmmm... would you
kindly provide links to sites (preferably in english so I can understand)
telling people about this?

School isn't a meeting club either. But forbidding dates in school is a little
bit too strict for me. I haven't heard about something like that in France.
This sounds rediculous to me, it also sounds like the portugese goverment feels
like it's losing power (sacasm)so sad(end sarcasm) , and there trying to get
back there so called control by excercising there power to try and control a
group of people.
That sucks for portugal though, good luck to them in getting that damn law
abalished
well school is a place to learn, n i think it's better to date somewhere else
right? but i think it's quite fine to date in school, it's fine here in
indonesia! ^^
well, that's definitely not a good news, but i think, the government wanted to
make sure that students go to school to study not to date...
but instead of what they(the government) wanted, what would happen might be
unlikely the same, students who already has a girl/boyfriend kept thinking where
they should date when it is forbidden in their school and lessons would be
abandoned
I've been lookin everywhere for web sites or more info on it but im beginning to
belive that it was just sensationalist journalism... witch also sucks... its
hard to belive in any news report nowadays... anyway if i find out anything more
on it i will let you know... obrigado pelo apoio (thanks 4 da
suport)...

I dug up a little and I found out that it all started in a school up north where
a lesbian was dating her girlfriend and they forbided her and she said
"well, if it is for us it is for everybody"...
Dating in school? umm... one of my school's rules: " No dating in
school"...And our HQ said out loud : " you go to school to study, not
to date" and " Dating makes your future worse and
worse"...totally dumb! Despite that, we're still dating! lol
do they really care? i mean how are they going to know? well in either case it
goes without saying it just dumb. no rule like that here in the us, dispite us
having so many dumb rules. well atleast there is no rule not allowing flirting
or asking out
Huhu.. No Dating was already in my school's rules. But the teachers didn't took
much attention when there are people dating. Even my teacher always jokes around
and knew all her students are dating. Other meaning, the watch us date, set a
rule on NO DATING, but they didn't care when they see us date again after the
form of NO DATING. So, we, in my school, consider it as unimportant rule.
Although some of my friends asked us who don't usually date look out for the I
CARE IN NO DATING RULE -teacher.
haha... It would scare me if people dated in my school considering I go to an
all girls school... Not that I'm homophobic or anything... Doesn't matter, we
have an all boys school across the street ^_^. Poor you... That rule sucks, just
like higuri says' laws are made to be broken'
thats the most stupid law in the world.... then what is the fun about being in
high school... that just wrong.....
then what would u do in high school...?
...I don't know much about Portugal, so I don't know if they value human rights,
but that is definitely a breach. And besides, it's none of their business
anyway.

That's a stupid rule, if you do well in school it shouldn't mind whatever you date or what you do in your free time.
that's a very stupid thing, i mean how will we learn to date if not in school?
