Simple question. What is your definition of a friend?
I'll start with my own.
I think that getting to know someone is an experience, not a description or a
demonstration. A friend happens to be a person whose presence induces your best
qualities to emerge. A friend is an inspiring person who provides fulfillment
not because of what they do or say, but rather because of who they are as a
person.
My defenition of a friend is someone who sees the person inyou and doesnt care
about what you look n stuff. Somebody who you can laugh with and have fun with
and take time out to listen to your issues! ^-^
a friend to me is: someone i can relax around, i can talk to, and someone who
accepts me. they are always there when i need them, and is always open to help
me out. they can TRUST me and share things with me. i can always laugh around
them and be myself. someone who i can have a convo with in 3 years saying
"remember when we..." and they tell me the truth if they like
something or not (that i did/made). someone who won't backstab me, makes fun of
me, or tells me lies.
who i can take free stuff from; who i can hit in the stomach when im angry and
doesn't fight back; who is always kicked by me when i don't need him anymore.
My definition are people whom will always be right next to you to the very end
and also they are the ones that pull out your potential on being your true
self...They make you who you are..without them you wouldn't be whole nor
yourself.
nobody have real friends..i through...lol...everyone will see you how something
they can use and when they get bored of you and have everything they want from
you they'll throw you away.
uh..i don't have definition for friends...
A friend is someone you can truely trust. Someone who is honest with you, but at
the same time, able to laugh together with even if it's the tiniest thing. You
know they're true friends when you're being yourself around them. This is how I
feel at least, around all my close friends I am a totally different person from
how I am around others.

friend? I don't know. I call people my friend but I don't see them as my friend.

difference between best friend and friend. Friend can be anyone. Like I alway
say to people. They come and go. Friend are someone that you can turn to and
talk about anything. They will listen and be honest with you. Sometime they may
you cry and hurt you. Is not their fault cause is no one faults. Is human
nature. Friend are there when you need them.
There are only three types of friendships. Earthly and Heavenly.
Earthly: Books and yourself!
Heavenly: GOD
No matter how much you think of others as your friends, the real you within you
is the one who is the only best friend you have. YOU ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND and/or
FRIEND. NO MATTER WHAT. If you think of someone to be your friend, that is
because your mind and soul gets "match" with that person's
personality; the match, when more positive, and less negative, you call that
person your friend, or in some cases, best friend.
Just look within you. YOU ARE YOUR FRIEND. COGITO ERGO SUM.
my definition of a friend: a person who is there for me no matter what, a person
who calls, sends snail mail and/or email, and sends the occasional IM to make
sure I'm okay, a person who I can love like family, and a person with whom I can
fight ferociously and still get along with.
As they say, you're never truly friends with someone until you have your first
fight. If you can fight with someone, and still be friends with them, you can
call them a friend.
I agree with hikoseijuro; there are Earthly friendships and Heavenly. On Earth,
I have my cat, my mom, my mom's brother, my friends Heather and Lyndsay, and
friends from band. In Heaven, there is God and my late grandfather.

My real definition: A friend is a person who walks in when others walk out.
A friend is someone who knows your bad sides and has seen you at your worst, but
likes you for who you really are. And I think it's important. A friend can stand
you for weeks in a row without complaining, even though you both want some free
time for yourselves (yep... my friends and I just came out of a LONG group
projects period).
And I'm glad to have friends like that.
Oh, and something else I heard that made me laugh... "An old friend will
help you move. A good friend will help you move a dead body." ^^
My definition of a friend is someone to spend time with, hang out with, and
laugh with. Someone that I can always talk to, listen to, and joke with. A
friend that I can be with in comfortable silence. A friend who is not afraid to
voice their opinion with me and are not scared of being judged by me. Someone
who does not judge me and loves me unconditionally!
And especially a friend is someone to bicker with, like me and Sakurose! LOL!
