Yep quicktime, btw when you download it. iTunes will by accompany with it during
the installation. If you are not using iTunes just remove it after you are done
installing.
Because it loads services that you do not need if you are not using
iTunes.

Quick time player?
To play .mov you need QuickTime player or you could find QuickTime althernative codec
go to apple.com and you will have to dl itunes to get quick time player, but you can uninstall itunes and still have quick time when you are done.

Use quicktime. I thik VLC can read it but i'm not sure.

included in the K-lite codec pack.
Google Quicktime alternative, install it.
You can then play it in MPC or any other player of the like.
google k-lite mega codec pack, it installs all the codecs but uses a program called media player classic to play everthing
