my notification always says that i have 1, then when i check theres none... i think theres a bug
O.o Mine says "2" when there are none.
the next time either of you have a new visible notification, don't use the "delete selected" feature. Instead, keep it there and just click the "purge all" button. That should delete all your notifications and reset the number to 0.
