I am a smoker.
i realy2 want to quit smoking.
I already try several times,but still can't quit.
Anybody know the easiest way to quit smoking?
I really need anyh advice right now.

don't buy any cigarettes, don't let anyone talk you into smoking "just" one, always keep some bubblegum in your pocket... everything else is discipline

but sometime i feel like my mouth want to feel something.
i can't stand to feel that way.

pure will power, you gotta really want to... dont rely on others support, you alone hold the key ;P

My brother was a heavy smoking and quit smoking using a simple plan...

He just forced himself to sleep or remain in bed for an entire day and do "absolutely nothing". I don't know how, but after that day he never even thought about smoking, and will even reject a cigarette when people try to tempt him.

My other brother is still trying to quit, using lots of different techniques but always ends up getting back to the habit. (Mainly due to stress)


The technique I find useful (I kinda made it up myself) is as follows.
First, ask yourself, why you smoke. Is it for stress? Makes you feel good? Socialize? Whatever the reason is, find something else that gives you the same satisfaction. Whenever you feel like smoking a cigarette do that "other thing" that gives you the same satisfaction. Another thing is don't 'ever' think of the idea of not being able to smoke another cigarette for the rest of your life to get that 'buzz' or feeling! You found something else that gives you the same satisfaction, so don't fool yourself back into the habit.

Quitting smoking isn't easy, and requires a strong will. You have it in you eki. In fact, everyone does. You just have to find that will and stay strong.

well...i believe there are more ways than one, i have quitted three days ago, it is hard to go cold turkey, so over a time of the past two months, i have smoked cigars, hard and heavy stuff that you cannot inhale, so it works by making feel the urge to smoke a cigaretts getting cut down a whole lot.

i smoke at first 3 cigars a day, slowly, it seemed because i could not fully inhale (which i think it is the enjoyment) i lose interest in smoking, and i cut down gradually, eventually it was 4 days a stick, and now, it is a week since i last took one, though i still feel the urge at times, but i say i am quite ok...and quit already.

Save the money you used to spend on cigarettes and keep'em somewhere. You should have a pretty good amoun of money and pretty soon. Buy yourself something as a reward for not smoking. My friend's father quited smokin' this way.

i used the money to by suckers or even candy canes. they helped me and lots and lots of coffee. as a matter of fact i have been smoke free now for 3 weeks

hire a "cigarette quitting trainer"
he will stand by u 24/7 and everytime u try to smoke a cigarette,
he will punch u in the face lol ^___~

i have no idea how to quit smokin or how hard it would be,
but do those nicotene patches or nicotene gum work?

Just think to yourself: Why pay to destroy your life? I think smoking is the stupidest thing a person could do to theirself. (Other than jump of a cliff, burn your house down, etc.) People just think it makes them appear more mature, but really it makes them look like a bad-breathed asshole-not that most of them are. Plus, if you compared the lungs of a smoker and a regular person, the somkers would look like a RAISIN and the regular would be a GRAPE. I've...seen it before...when my uncle died of lung cancer and he donated body parts. I wish you luck in your recovery.

The best way to quite smoking is just plain dropping it all at once.
I once knew a cocaine-addict (or maybe a heroine-addict) that locked himself in a basement and had his friend feed him through a hole in the wall until he got over his addiction.

Get professional help if you don't have the will to quit smoking...or try chewing on something whenever you feel like taking a smoke (my dad can't quit, but it helps him to chew on something when he feels like smoking). Obviously...go for something that won't get you unhealthy (gum, seeds, etc.---nothing that will ruin your diet).

eat chocolate. maybe it'll help :P

Hm...sweet stuff would help. *sigh* I wish that my dad was as eager to stop smoking as you. My mom's trying to get my dad on the patch...

hey, try eating mints or something, whenever u wanna smoke, eat a tic-tac or better still, indulge on chocolates :D

forget the choc and sweets, they don't actually work better than gum, and they make you fat, do what i do, slowly over time and dicipline and quit slowly, sudden changes will only bring the habit back and very soon, the urge will overtake u and u will just get the habit back.

put the cigarette down..
no im just joking, try some of those products people advertise in the tv. try something that takes your mind of it. like play games or excersice. but you got to quit slowly like Devildude said.

I dunno...ive got pretty good willpower i think i could do it any time. My ex made me stop because shes a healthfreak and it wasnt all that hard...

Get some patches and gums then? My brother started chewing on liqoruice roots(Im not sure if thats spelled right :)). Good luck
