If they did, it would be crap. Probably Bush would sponsor it, making it more evil.

The war is not a game and is not a topic for glorify a carnage and homicide...

No, it shouldn't be made. But Redimer, unless you are Iraqi or one of the multinational forces soldiers over there, I would refrain from calling it an unfair war and making biased, uneducated remarks about it. An anime based on this would probably be like that one anime about the hostage negotiator. Anime creators often stay away from modern political situations unless they have direct impact on Japan, so I doubt they would make a show based on it unless it was based on one of the Japanese soldiers over there. It may be interesting, but all of its content would be biased toward that specific writer or company making the anime, and thats why it would most likely not be accurate to the truth, much like shows like Ikkitousen, that mirror Chinese history(Romance of the Three Kingdoms I believe), but add their own spin to it.
The only person I would trust to make an anime about Iraq, would be a Japanese soldier.

Probably in the future there will be some anime that is vaguely based on it, but with different names and such.
