Sometimes your nearness
Takes my breath away
And all the things
I want to say
Can find no voice.
Then in silence,
I can only hope
My eyes will speak
For my heart.
This is my favorite love poem that I read somewhere on the net a long time ago.
Sorry I don't remember the name of the author.
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies,
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in the aspect of her eyes;
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven and gaudy day denies.
Sometimes your nearness
Takes my breath away
And all the things
I want to say
Can find no voice.
Then in silence,
I can only hope
My eyes will speak
For my heart.

Por aquí paso una pava
chiquitita y voladora
en el pico lleva flores
y en las alas mis amores.
I know, is in spanish, but I speak spanish as my first language.
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies,
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in the aspect of her eyes;
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven and gaudy day denies.
- Lord Byron.
Oooh, nice. There's not much of Byron I like, but that one rocks.
Of course that's only the first stanza. The other two aren't nearly as good.
Ooops, and the last line should be "Which heaven to gaudy day denies."
nice^^
Love in the Rain (Suma Chinghai)
------------------------------------------------
Sending a love message into the nil
Hoping to find you it will
Through the evening chill.
Till then, nothing will heal
My heart!
Aching pains.
Dark nights.
Come the wind and cold rain!
My heart beats blue
Longing for you.
