I like A Clockwork Orange......sometimes the old films have this kind of originality and fresh ideas that cannot be copy into today's films.......what do you guys think about this...........

the oldest movie that i like is die hard :P

old films.. hmm.. i wonder if you've got mail is considered old.. it's very nice & sweet.. love the plot, the characters.. the people who act...

nice OST too!

@___@;; I really would like to watch Roman Holiday. So far I think I like Sound of music the best. X3 <33

LOL! Anything from TCM is pretty good for me, I used to not be so fond of older movies from the 30s and 40s, but I've come to really appreciate them in the past few years.

Star wars! The very first one. Was out before i was born and is still great even by todays standerds

I pretty much like a lot of movies made by Charlie Chaplin. There's a lot of slapstick and the "voices" are nothing but squeaks. :D

I like a lot of the old musicals! Ones with dancing and all that. XD My favorite's gotta be Sound of Music and My Fair Lady. Meet Me in St. Louis was pretty good too.

I dont know if someone knows "Spartacus" .? Besides this one : Blade Runner, Braveheart, The Thin Red Line and Days of Thunder. To call some of my favorites. There are a lot of good old films out, so watch out for them :-) .

Old Kubric films are fantastic. I am also a fan of musicals. I admit it! Although cheesy, there is something innocent and wonderful about them.

And singing along is just so much fun! XD The lyrics for the songs are hilarious sometimes.

i like this black-and-white The Slipper and The Rose. i never liked black-and-white movies before but this movie had wonderful acting performance & soundtracks ^_^

Yes I do I like feidls of dreams, Major league just to name a few.

i love jimmy stewart. he is my favorite actor ever. i love all his movies. i love rear window and vertigo and rope. those movies rock. i also love cary grant. he is so cool. i like the movie where he and his wife adopt this little girl...i can't remember the name...i really love old movies. they have that clean good humor that is timeless. they don't have to have sex or drugs inthem or use and swear words. i wish movies could have stayed like that... but i like alot of movies from now too!

Oh yeah, there are some really great old movies. I agree with Nitram, spartacus is awesome good ole Kurt Douglas in his prime. I tell ya what a super great movie I watch it everytime I see it on tv, The Great Escape with Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Gardner...thats only the tip of the iceburg too, this movie was chock full of big time stars from that era. If anyone doesn't know its about a Nazi prison camp, where allied forces are being held, and the dig escape tunnels to get out. Good stuff. Speak of Steve McQueen, anyone seen Bullit?! Hell yeah, that put mustangs on the map. I will introject a little fact I learned, did you know that Steve McQueens son was presented by Ford the first production model of the 2002 Mustang GT Bullit edition? hehe ok, I have more...ok, continuing with a McQueen fix Towering Inferno? Ok, this is a little newer, but this is something else I MUST watch anytime I see it on TV, The Shawshank Redeption...ok ok ok ok, I got one! Apocalypse Now that was such a good movie, for some reason years ago very late at night, AMC had it one like repeating several times, I watched it like for 8 hours in a row, hehe. Ok, I think I'm done now... yeah, I'm done for now...can't think of anymore.

WAIT! I got ya! I'm not done...I dont have any names really, but I did remember enjoying movies with Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly. Fred was in one called Daddy Long Legs. Ooooh, how about Hello Dolly with Barbara Streisand. I tell ya, there's a ton of good old movies...I'll stop now. Really.

Some good picks so far with mention of Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, etc. Glad to see it!

Anyhow, one of my favorite actors is Danny Kaye, and you can't go wrong with THE COURT JESTER for one of his best. If you've never seen it, you're in for a real treat. Honest!

Well, depends on what do you mean by how old, I like Roman Holiday, Casablanca, The Three Stooges, Planet of the Apes, Breakfast Club, Back to the Future, Willow, The Goonies, ... to mention some...

Some Clint Eastwood or John Wayne movies for me. Usually war movies.

Old Movies are wonderous.

I'm so surprised someone mentioned 'The court jester' with Danny Kaye.. I fell in love with that movie when I was younger! Danny Kaye is awesome. I also liked him a lot in 'Hans Christian Anderson'.

Any old movie with Audrey Hepburn is good. She's a doll. And little Shirley Temple of course!

It's a Wonderful Life is a great movie and one of my favorite films to watch around Christmas time.

i m seldom watch old films.... but when i c this title i think of "the sound of music".... i think it s a warm hearted movie.... featuring many good songs.... and all the characters act wel....

depends how old, i ve seen no good ones 50s-60s but i seen some funny as canto movies from the late 70s

night of the hunter, the haunting, all the old pshyco thrillers, anything by alfred hitchcock is wonderful

Whoa...of course and I could say they are the best...movies liek Home Alone I-II,Survivor,Forrest Gump, also the ones with gangsters and many others never die...it is like the ones we see today we loose interest in them very soon...of course there are exceptions too like Surviving Christmas and there are osme others but I wouldn't know where to put them(What women want). There are so many but their names skip into my mind~_~!Bye!

Oh and Merry Christmas...Happy Holidays^_^!

i think that the only old film i've seen was Romeo and Juliet the one that came out in 1968? i think. anyways really great movie, acting was pretty good too. and then right after i saw the romeo and juliet version that came out in the 90's i think, with leonardo di caprio, omgosh, it was a errr really different remaking of it XD
