I tried looking for a thread on knitting, but the search came up with nothing.
Shock shock!
Are there any knitters out there? What are you currently knitting? What
materials do you like to work with?
I have been knitting for a few years. My aunt taught me when I was in college as
a way to relax during finals week. I am currently knitting a HP-inspired scarf
for my boyfriend. I want to branch away from scarves, but that is what everyone
has been requesting lately.
I'm not like heavy duty knitter, but I've tried it a few times! hehe, I made
myself a belt... I tried anyways. I tried that and a scarf, but my scarf got
like unfinished until I got fed up and just finished it. It's supposed to be
like light blue and white, but then I didn't finish it so it's like a little bit
of blue on one side and the rest white. It was supposed to be like the two ends
are light blue and the middle white
But I dunno. For both times I tried, the whole thing curled like crazy. So I'm
guess I musta done something wrong. Like no matter what I did to the thing, it
would just roll up into a tube of knitting ^^;;
I learned to knit when I was seven ^_^. Then, after a year, I never touched the
needles. A few months ago, I took it up again. I like thin yarn and I'm
currently working on a sweater for someone ^.~!
I learned to knit when i was wery yung. Dont know the age.
My grandma thaught me but now i've forgotten how to knit.
But she promiced me that she'll teach me again.
i knit from time to time.. i haven't done so in a loonnnggg time. i knitted
myself a scarf... and i;m in the middle of knitting one at the moment, but i
stopped. my skills are pretty *ahem* i only know how to do 2 knits XP: purl and
the normal one? it's the opposite of purl
is there some way that you can prevent your knitting from curling? when i did
knit-purl-knit-purl it got really curly on the edges.
I've been knitting for a while, maybe two years or three. I mainly do scarves
(Harry Potter Hogwarts scarves...) but I've done a shawl and actually an
off-the-shoulder shirt once. It's really fun and stress relieving... and gives
my hands something to do when I watch TV.
Right now, I'm knitting th enew style of Hogwarts scarves, the ones with the
small stripes. I have to use a small circular needle for that. I use regular,
cheap yarn because I can't afford the super fancy stuff. I can knit in the round
using 4 double ended needles and I can also use regular needles. I'm okay at
crochetting, but the patterns get very complicated fast.
When I was younger, my mother showed me how to knit but I've forgotten now and
haven't knitted in a long time.. maybe if my mother takes up knitting again I'll
ask her ^^!

i know how to knit! but i only make scarves... i'm working on like, 3 of them right now!
I knew how to knit since I was in the fourth grade. Unfortuantly, I never really progressed pass the scarf.
I think I'm pretty good at knitting. Currently, I'm working on a sweater for my mom...I really hope that she'll like it!
I haven't gone to sweaters yet, mainly out of fear. I really want to do mittens, but I can't figure out how to do the thumb >/
I do enjoy taking over knitting X3 Usually I don`t know how to start it all so after someone makes a start for me I can continue.
It`s quite time comsuming though - so I don`t knit very often now.
