That statement is not fully true. Yes alot of low quality walls are quarantined
but this is done to prevent every single member out there who has photoshop from
taking an image and slapping it on some background. If this happened then there
would be a flood of poorly made walls which would outshine the good ones. This
is why it is highly encouraged that people submit their walls to the sandbox
before submitting so that they won't have to have their work quarantined.
Might I suggest using a free image hosting service to host your wallpaper? The
current one you are using, villagephotos.com, requires member registration, and
that will prevent members from being able to view and comment on your
wallpapers.
why the hell didnt this get through, its pretty good, i like the the purple glow
but the ripple things underneath looks weird
aiya! i wanna see a yakitate japan wallie XO
Well, I'm not really artistic so I can't really recommend anything. It seems
fine to me. What in the world is so bad with that wall?
The person on above me is right. We have to get every single detail perfectly so
it's almost impossible for photoshop first time user to get a wallie posted.
Maybe they should make it less strict
I agree with schimke. Maybe you should try a wallie of Yakitate. Hope there is
Kuroyanagi
BAh it's not a bad walie but the lvl of the wallies has gonne up since
MT3........The orb in the midle is weird too and probably the scans weren't that
good u shoud fix some stuff and try again........just don't give up........=)
I think the wallie looks quite nice(: I really not sure what is wrong with this
wallie XO
Anyway, don't give up! I hope to see more of your works! -grins-
Off-topic: I never knew you like GSD! I'm a big fan of GSD
haha
What is bad in this wall is the extraction. Honestly, we have been telling you
guys that a decent extraction is a must. It really determines a quality of the
final wall. There is also a place in the wall, the blue-haird guy's sleeve that
was cut and you did not bother to redraw the missing part. Thus redraw it. Also
the scans are not clean, there is a lot of noise so you might wanna improve this
as well. That is all about the wall.
And I will say it for the thousand time, there are certain requirements for
wallpaper to get accepted. We do not expect new wallers to be perfect, but we do
expect some basic quality requirement. So if you can honestly say that your
wallpaper meets everything specified in the FAQ the more probable it will get
accepted.

How is the quality and effort of my wallpapers evaluated?(edit)
» This is an important subject, as many wallpapers are
deleted every day. There are minimum effort and quality requirements for
submitted wallpaper because minitokyo wants to provide high quality content and
in order to reduce the leeching, since leeches are generally scared by
effort.
Actually, effort is more important than quality, especially for new members.
These are four points that, if followed, will greatly increase the chances of
your wallpapers staying on Minitokyo.
1) Extraction. The act of taking a character out of a scan to put in your
wallpaper. Polygonal lasso or pen tool + at least 500% zoom is your friend if
well used, while magic wand generally makes for worse wallpapers, and shows less
effort
2) Cleaning. If the scan is grainy or contains other artifacts, cleaning the
image is an important point
3) Layout. A decent composition is important. A thought out wallpapers is
certainly more appealing and represent a higher level of quality/effort
4) Quality and effort in designing the background. This is a topic too vast to
be covered here, but try to make quality backgrounds. Monocolor or other
extremely simple or filter-whore backgrounds, while nice in some cases, usually
do not lead the moderator to judge your wallpaper a high effort one.
Of course we're not expecting new members, nor old ones, to be perfect in every
one of this aspect, though please try to give your all. But a wallpaper trying
to follow these criteria is MUCH more likely to be accepted. The art &
design forum contains further help on these topics, as well as links to tutorial
sites. Also a detailed description of the creation process will help the
moderator judging the effort you put into your
wallpaper.
I've read through this thread and I will try to mention what hasn't been said.
If I repeat it... sorry in advance, but I'll just say what I can see from the
top of my head
* Scan is grainy - either the scans are grainy, or it was the texture from the
background going through the scan because you lowered the opacity of the scan.
Don't lower opacities of scans... you could probably go into modes - adjustments
- hue saturation to get the colours you want so it will blend in. Scans
shouldn't be lowered in opacity
* As stated the extraction is showing. You probably would have gotten away with
it if you had a light background, but since you went for a dark one, it really
is noticeable- as future advice - probably pick colours according to extraction
problems, or fix up your extraction problems so you won't need to be restricted
by colours
* I don't really know what the focus of this wallpaper is. THe composition is a
little messy. The guy on the left is facing left and the guy on the right is
facing right- and there is a big bright light in the centre. I don't know where
to look lol... centre, left or right? I suggest you switch the two scans so they
are both looking towards the centre, so I only look at the one point If
you do that though, that brings me to the next point:
* The light in the centre thingy is really blurry. The hourglass doens't look
too high quality as well. I am assuming they are stocks or something or they
were made by filter tutorials... but it doesn't look too good quality wise. The
water down the bottom looks a bit too rough [I don't know GSD, but I'm pretty
sure the art is very solid coloured, high quality and smooth] so that would
probably need to be fixed up a bit. It looks like there is a bit of noise in
there
Lastly, the top section in the sky is generally okay, but I think some more
brushes and variations of brightness and colours [stick to your purples and
whites though], and it should make for a nice sky
Anyways, those were a few suggestions~ hopefully that has probably cleared out a
few more ideas [apart from extraction] to why it was also deleted
Kudos ^.^V

As for the wall please save it onto your computer then host it on a site like

or
