there are a lot of ways to color... but my favourite media has to be water colour, cause' you can use a variety of techniques. sometimes i used color pencils, just to make a quick artwork.

what do you people use to color your artwork with?

:D eerm...i only use pencil...or mechanical pencil....>.< 4 sketches
erm poster colour o water colour when attending art class in school....(two years back)
crayon?

Photoshop is my most favored medium...I don't have any watercolors or markers, but I do have some Prismacolor pencils, which I don't use very much.I love digital coloring;it provides a range of options and smooth coloring. And there are programs like Corel that imitate actual painting...I also find some non-digital coloring mediums to be somewhat expensive so...

Quick sketching I use H thru 6h leads in a mechanical drafting pencil.
For color work, I prefer colored pencils. For serious drawings, I will use Derwent studio pencils. The leads in Derwent pencils seem a little harder and a little less waxy.

I'm a big fan of the mechanical pencil, so much that I use it whenever possible for all my writing rather than using ink. I've tried paints of various kinds but I'm not good with it and find it a bit messy ^_^' so I stick with the good old pencil sketch + photoshop.

Being stuck at work all day, I used office supplies--sharpies, pens, pencils, whiteout, etc. Then when I get home I finish it with watercolor and sometimes a touch of photoshop!

pencils are the best, they're easy to use comparing to photoshop or any other computer software. But the coloring part is hard sometimes... computer is better for coloring i guess.

what don't I use? :/ I like to experiment with everything, but markers and watercolors are my primary media. I'm strictly a Photoshop digital painter, though, but I want to get better at Open Canvas and Painter, they're so difficult to get a feel for. For drawing I use col-erase pencils, #2 yellow pencils for black lines, and for inks, I use either Koh-i-Noor tech pens or regular nib and quill... though I favor nib and quill ^^;

hmm....digital is the best for me cause...there is something called the "undo" button.

Pencil and watercolor is my favorite natural media but I use Photoshop and Illustrator mainly these days coz like Plainwhitepaper said the "undo" feature is a real timesaver. :)

Alot. I use markers, watercolor, colored penciles, digital medium or just plain inking and shading. I love mixing and matching media! My usual combos though are watercolor/pastel and watercolor/pastel/markers

I use mechanical pencil, or really anything will do as long as it makes marks on paper. :) Then I come home, scan, and colour in Photoshop.

ill use anything i can, but what i use most r pencils on paper, black or colored tho most times itll b black lead pencils

I like to use pencils, ink, and paints :D

hmm, depends what I'm doing I guess. I like digital colouring 'cause of the undo and layer options. magic wand also makes life easier. and mixing colours is much easier: you get the exact colour you want.

but since I don't have a tablet, I like traditional mediums too because I have more control. (and they're fun and messy to use). Letsee, graphite (I sketch with H or F, sometimes B or HB, and shade with 2B - 4b) and charcoal are good for b/w sketches or shading. but I LOVE conte, because of the beautiful sepia-ish colours. and using chalk with conte just makes it even better 'cause it's more smudgable. yes, I like using mediums that smudge :) messy, but fun. which is probably why I'm not too fond of oil pastels (chalk pastels are better).

Watercolour is fun, but a little hard to control at times. but I do like the semi-transparent effect you get from it. Acrylic gives me a lot better control, and it's fast-drying since I'm an impatient painter. Oils are good too, because it blends so well (but it takes forever to dry...). mixing acrylic and oil is my fave way of painting I guess.

now, have you tried Copic markers? they're SO nice and fun to use! esp for anime art. they have a brush tip, and very smooth application, so it's like using paint, but with more control.

I sometimes use coloured pencils if I'm lazy, but I don't like how my scanner picks up the white spots when I do colour with these. so unless I press really hard when I colour, the scanner makes it ugly. Prismacolours are the best I find, 'cause they have soft leads, so it's easier to blend. Laurentian isn't too bad either.

umm, pens, ballpoint as wells as felt-tip markers are fun to experiement with. I'm not too fond of sharpies though, too dark and goes right through the paper.

I guess I like to experiement with different mediums. :)

anima...

I perferr Photoshop and Illustrator over all other image creation/editing software.

watercolor and colour pencils....or just ink em

photoshop, pastel, watercolor, and moving onto illustrator! XD
