Hmm...
well
Im kinda lost in this whole new system...
Dont really know how to navigate...
my other wallie got deleted and the
gm asked me to check out this place
So.. i'd came up with a new wallie
its not fantastic or whatever...
but hope you guys could comment on it. X3
Well the noticable thing is the extraction. It's pretty bad and clearly shows
where you cut it from the original image. Also the image in the middle sticks
out too much. Lessening the shine around him would help blend him in with the
other images better.
Hmmm. I don't know where you got the images from, but they sure don't look great
quality [they look like screencaps or something smaller and you made them a bit
bigger... or you didn't clean them up yet] - there are still a few jpeg
artifacts on the scans [there are speckles around the guy's lips on the scan on
the right and nose, hair etc]
As mentioned, it looks like you used the magic wand tool to extract- I think you
would need to extract properly with the pentool or something else [probably grab
yourself a tutorial :P it'll come handy in the future]
I usually don't use any outglows unless I'm using it for my credits at the
bottom of my wall :P Generally I would stay away from any bevelling, stroking
and outer glow blending modes. Beldning modes separate your scan from your
background, and rise questions about your extraction [many people use it to hide
extraction problems]. Stroking [via blending modes] is pixellated So that's
just something to remember in the future :P
As for the background of this: to tell the truth, the scans are so big there
really isn't much of a background ~ but I can see some brushes, so maybe that
should be added onto [more brushes etc] -
On the scan on the left you put the transparency down and it's a bit distracting
because I can see the background through it and there are lines going through
his face... same with the scan on the right...
Overall I can't really suggest anything for you because I don't know what sort
of idea it is you are trying to convey throught this wallpaper--- and I have no
idea what you want it to look like XP
Some general guidelines though, keep your extraction top notch and your scan
quality high and you should be fine Cheers
