You know I've been wondering lately...what if Team Ninja decided one day to make
a RPG styled Dead or Alive game where you can play as multiple characters and
such? The idea came to me when I heard that Team Ninja was planning on releasing
a Dead Or Alive manga series. So I said, "If you want to create some sort
of depth in the concept and storyline of the DOA series, why not create an RPG /
Fighting / Beat 'Em Up kind of game?"
(You know...like a hybrid sort of thing for the Xbox 360)
I don't think a fighting game would make a good RPG. Maybe if they did something
like the newer mortal combats or soul calibur 3 where in single player you play
the story of some charater and go through the world.
Very hard to say, I would love to see and RPG of DOA or a Ninja Gaiden title
that has the option to use all or a few characters from DOA series. But you
know, since we are so easy to get to play a game because the way it started that
does not mean that could not be other good ways to expand the game in this case
to another type.
A DOA RPG game will be something really cool! But we need a good idea, something
that we will buy!, that is what companies care about, of course they can do
mistakes also...
Hmmmmmm......that sounds kinda cool if you think about it......
I mean, I do LIKE RPGs and mixing it up with my favorite series, DOA,
altogether...
But if this turns out to be a game, what would the game have? Monsters? Tough
Ninjas (from Ninja Gaiden) and sorts of other enemies.....
But...............*scratching my head*........
It's really difficult to say......
hmmmm..... it'll be kind'a fun..... there may be some possibilities to create a
RPG DOA game, but in order to attract someone, it must've an interesting story,
interesting or special battle system, a bunch of quiz and side quest that will
blow out your mind etc etc......
it's true it'd be very hard to make and RPG out of a fighting game because the
story is not very solid. The one thing that could work is if it were to explain
the origins as well as present and future of the characters in which all their
stories somehow intertwine at the end but it would be a mediocre, if not
terrible, game by all standards.
I think that would be so kool if that happened though
like darkshinobi223 said, there would have to be some sort of enemies so the
characters would just have to fight each other.
If Bandai can turn it's flagship Gundam series into an RPG, I don't think why
not? But I would like to really really see Mai-HiME as an RPG. It would have
been so cool to control characters of different abilities and to summon
different Childs.
Quote by ShrinkNerv4EvaI heard a
rumor that they were making an rpg. I think it's DOA: Code Chronos. It's about
Kasumi and Ayane when they were young. Maybe...
Wasn't a rumor, It was actually a thing Itagaki and Some other dude were talking
about in a interview for 1up.
Might be interesting, flesh it out some more and have a good gameplay. A lot of
games only get better as they branch off and try new things (sometimes they get
worse).
Doing an RPG Game would be great. For Example for Computer so you can play it
over Internet. How do you think about it do you think?
But if one day they think about doing an animeseries out of it so I hope it will
be as perfect as the "Shadow Skill OVA" was. I loved the style how
they did it.
And if one day they will make a movie out of it I hope that they will make it in
3D. And as perfect as "Final Fantasy - The Spirits within" was.

What do you DOA fans think about that?

Well noone knows for sure what DOA Code Chronos is goes to be, so you may very well get your wish.

that can't be a compliment...i hope not

this is very interesting.......to think if they already made a other games using doa character........it might be good if this was done
sounds good. It could be like Tales series (RPG/real time fighting)
It would be nice.I would really want to be Ayane!
Nice Idea!
I would like a game like this
The backround story of the Characters it is big enough and fit good togehter,
its an good base for an RPG.
Might be interesting, flesh it out some more and have a good gameplay. A lot of games only get better as they branch off and try new things (sometimes they get worse).
I think that could possibly be one of the worst things Team Ninja could do, it really wouldn't make so much sense in a RPG.
I don't think it'd be good. It'd turn out Rampage ish (or fighting force)
They want to make a manga out of it?!
Whoa I can't wait to see it.

Ninja Gaiden was kinda close to being an RPG.
Im a big fan of DOA, the idea of a manga is a great one! if thwy want to make a RPG I hope that the story are good and character dont change a lot
