Hell Girl, is quite a new series in japan, but i love its drawing, the story sounds intersting, too. (though i hv not yet watched it) I want to know who drew this series in comics, and what other comics he/she have completed. It is very authentic!
However, comparatively, i m disappointed after watching some 'paradise kiss' on tv. I hv read its comics which is gorgeous, but tv version is just 'not pretty'! Sometimes the 'funny version' of people is very unacceptably ugly! But its opening theme is cool!

I've seen 3 episodes of Jigoku Shoujo and I love what I see,
but I'm worried about it story-wise,
each episode stands on its own, and I've heard that its still that way even at episode 6 (although I havent gotten around to watching them yet),
I was hoping for some kind of backstory for Ai, but it doesnt seem like its going to happen

Me too! Actualy i want to know her background; this is one of main reasons i want to wath 'hell girl'.

'Paradise kiss' is the eng name, comic drawn by ai yazawa, about a high school girl feeling confused for her future, not feeling like going to university, though she is in a famous high school. She met a group of teens in her age, studying fashion design and working hard for their dreams. They find her as model in school's fashion competition, and she is amazed by their enthusiasm in chasing their dreams. She find herself gifted as model and starts this career. Jigoku shoujo talks about 'hell girl' will take revenge on behalf of the requester, and ship the cursed one to hell immediately, knowing tht person shipped to hell has really commited serious crime making the person who makes request suffers. But, at the same time, the person who make request will then destine to fall to hell after death as compensation.

if you have doubts about parakiss show because being too girly, it doesn't matter. unfortunately, the character design features some deviation from the original; they are quite different from yazawa's ai original design. maybe they are not bad at all; only yazawa's character design looks so greats ^^

Although the anime of parakiss doesn't quite capture the beauty of ai yazawa's art...it's really because her character design is just amazingly detailed
I thought the anime did a pretty decent job at getting the main points of the design
And I actually like the funny faces...they are such an amusing contrast to the sheer gorgeousness of all the characters

Jigoku Shoujo i have up to episode 6...its pretty good but i the story pretty much is the same...People do hurtful cruel things...Calls for Hell girl...Hell girl takes the Hurtful cruel people to Hell O_o...thats pretty much it...dont mean to spoil anything for anybody

paradise kiss is quite entertaining.n yeah,the funny characters are very cute ^_^. haven't try hell girl though.

Well.... paradise kiss has only 12 episodes afterall. In Japan, it has just finished. I have read the comments, people pointed out that the ending is rather disappointing and it has missed quite some important plots due to such hush ending.

Doesn't sound bad, which fansub? or is it licensed?

JIGOKU SHOUJO IS GREAT... unfortunatly no story and very little possibility of it developing one... but none the less it is very good and great to watch late at night

Jigoku Shoujo is very fantastic! I really love this Anime. I also watch parakiss too but yukari casting doesn't impress me at all. ps. I love Tomme february6 song so much ^^
