So ... anyone a Games Workshop and miniature wargaming player/fan/collector here?

I collect Lord of the Rings from Games Workshop, have been for the last 3 years, although at one point I didn't buy as often as I would have liked and thus am quite a bit behind in the series, yet I still do have a relatively decent army.

Anyone?

eww games workshop lol, i was gonna start collecting warhammer, but then i thought it would have been kinda sad, and a waste of money

why did you think that?

lol those things cost like an arm and a leg. my friends use to collect 40k warahammer....i was and still am "thats lame"
but yeah my 2 cents

I poland it isn't a lot of game shops
a place with game is a central shops

It's weird yet ineteresting to hear other people's opinions about these things. I do agree that it is not the cheapest hobby around, but I truly enjoy it.
I've always enjoyed building models and painting things, so this is great. For me it goes beyond the actual gaming part in that I create scenery as well along with modifications to units, so creating an even more diverse army.

i somtimes get it, not for the game but the diffrent units/models etc.. i enjoyed makin them from time to time

Ahh the first clan member arrives!
GTW - which line do you follow? WH, WH40K, LotR, or something else perhaps?

Do you also modify your figurines or try to stick to the basic molds?

soo many of my friends use to play war hammer

Also an old thread of mine that I'd like to see picked up again. Any other GW Warhammer or LOTR collectors/players out there? How about some of the newbies who joined MT in the last few months, any of you GW collectors or players?
With the new Medusa Warhammer 40k, Battle for Skull Pass Warhammer and Two Towers LOTR sublements released, it certainly makes for some truly exciting and interesting gaming.

Comments please.

I'm a big fan of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, but I didn't find it economically reasonable to have to expend a fair amount of money towards modelling and painting...

GW have is about to release a new sublement for LOTR called the ruin of Arnor - am EXTREMELY excited!
