My image "Summer Breeze" was deleted today and I want to know how do I go about disputing this? That image was scanned by me and the message said it was deleted because of improper credit and that it was taken from someone else site. I would NOT take an image from someones site and add it here as my own, every Kare Kano image that I have uploaded has been from my own Character book and I can prove it! I shouldn't have to credit something that was scanned by me.

Did you forget to state the original artist or source of the image?

I wasn't aware that you had to state the original artist, the image was scanned by me so there was no other source but the book I scanned it from. If I have to add that then I will, but I never knew I had to.

np, just there are 1000s of scans being ripped off and posted here per day, so we get mixed up sometimes

Furthermore, the name u used, summer breeze, sounds sorta run off the mill. That ain't credible. When a mod receives a message, a thorough investigation cannot follow.

I think I know the one you mean, it was reported as being from Project Zen. Do you also have an account there? If so, it may have been deleted as being ripped from PZ, even if you scanned it.

No I don't have an account at Project Zen, don't even know what that site is. So that means I can't re-add it just because some people think I took it from Project Zen, even if I say I scanned it and can prove it? I think that's really unfair. Not saying this to be rude or anything, but this policy is really unfair.

I was never given a chance to prove that the image was in fact mine before it was deleted. I never even knew it was in consideration for being deleted until it was too late. Now if for any reason I upload another image and someone (who never asked me) decides it was taken from another site reports it, then I can get banned for something I never did. To top that off you guys won't warn me, you'll just ban me.

As I said before I understand fully that this is a huge site and the mods have a lot to take care of, but if you're just deleting innocent members images without so much as a word to the member then there’s no point in having mods. Hell if you just deleted everyone's image just because it looked like it came from someone else site then you wouldn't have much of an image gallery.

Again I'm not saying all of this to be rude, I just don't like being blamed for something I never did and I'm pretty sure if someone else was in my shoes they'd feel the same way.

If we thought that you were ripping scans, we would *warn* you, and to date, I don't believe that anyone's been banned for scan rippage. So there's nothing to worry about there. ^_^

As far as reuploading goes, try uploading it again, say in the description that you scanned it, and cross your fingers. It shouldn't be deleted then. Hope this helps! ^^

My image called Sunset was deleted too, the message says something like that: " . . .poor quality. . . not 32 bit real color . . .not the resolution . . ." Just don't know, the file's size was 1600 x 1170 or aprox. Was 32 bit real color and scaned in the dpi wanted, so, the image isn't there, and i want a answer for that.
