Who saw the last episode of FMA? I missed it. Does anyone know what happened? Did Ed's and Al's father really appear? o_0 I feel horrible that I missed it. x_x T_T :( (All three)

Well there are quite a lot that know what happened.

-------

SPOILERS :

Al's father is still in the other world. More spoilers ?

LoL! Well~ It's kinna complicated... I watched twice to understand it. There's also the movie ya?

The last episode BEWARE SPOILERS... though I guess you wouldn't be in this thread unless you wanted to know hehe.

So here is my version, of at least what I can remmeber. It's missing quite a few bits, but you'll get the general idea:

At the end of ep 50, we see Envy stab Edward and Al is like oh no! I mean really, with a stab like that how could Ed possibly survive, after all the have worked for for it to end like this!

Al sees this and uses Alchemy to break free of the transmutation circle - much to the annoyance of Dante. Al walks over to Ed's body and realises that he is still warm - so he's not dead yet, so using the power of the philospher's stone, he sacrifices himself to bring Ed back.

When Edward awakes, he sees Rose, notices that Alphonse is missing and then sees that he has regained his right arm and left leg. That's when it dawns on him that Al used the philospher's stone. Ed tells Rose to go and for the last time, Ed sets up to a transmutation to try and bring back his little brother. He knows now that there is probably nothing in this world that can save his brother, but prehaps if he sacrifices himself he can bring back Al.

We see the transmutation take place, and then cut scene.

Back at Rizenbul, and Winry, Rose and her child are watching a 10 year old Al play with the dog (whose name escapes me). When Al's body came out of the gate, it took the appearance of a 10 year old. On top of that, Al doesn't remember anything after he and Ed tried to transmute his mother. A whole 4 years he and his brother spent working to get their lives back to normal and he remembers nothing. Winry is sad - I think she's still in doubt that Edward is really gone. What happened to him?

Meanwhile, Izumi and her crew approach and Pinako talks about how Al is interested in Alchemy again, and is determined to learn all he can so he can see his brother again. Izumi agrees to teach him.

Cut scence - Munich 1921, Edward - who is very alive, discusses with his father how he is going to investigate an inventor who believes that one day man will go to the moon. He can't use alchemy, but prehaps he can use machines to try come back in his world. He tells his father that the that last thing he remembers after coming to is him waking to this world, and that after what Al went through to bring his body back, he now has his auto mail arm and leg. Edward is determined to get back, to make sure that he didn't screw up and that Al is alive.

Last scene, on the train but in different worlds, both brothers vow that they will see each other again, and both extend their hands outside the cars, as if somehow reaching to each other.

I hope that is what you were looking for, and makes sense. There is more stuff on what happened to Mustang, Hawkeye, Dante as well, but I jsut focussed on the brothers. If you want I can type it up later.

FMA rocks!

yeah i want to know what happened to dante at the last ep plz

Numaman430 - I can't remember whether this is all that exactly happened to Dante, but she doesn't last much longer in the final episode. I've remember the major bits:

Dante:
After unable to stop Al using himself to save his brother, we see her fleeing, very very annoyed. How could she lose the philosopher's stone at a time like this, her body is nearly decomposed!

As if she wasn't haven't a bad enough day, enter gluttony - looking very hungry indeed. Dante tries to recompose herself and explain to Gluttony not to worry - she'll be able to turn them into human soon - but since she left nothing but the gluttony inside him, he is not willing to reason - the only thing he cares about is satisfying his insatiable appetite.

We see a look of terror cross over Dante's face and then basically - she gets eaten- okay so you don't see her getting eaten - but the scene very much implies it - a fitting ending don't you think? The irony...

Hope that clears it up!

Memory of that episode makes me cry ;_;
After watching it I was so sad, till I watched the movie. Then I was distraught *-____-*

Haha I know what you mean! Waiting for the movie after seeing the last episode was painful!

I like the ending though - strange as it was - it certainly was not to be expected ;)

It was so sad that Ed left...but at least he didn't die! >_<

Well i think the ending was not the best....

but if its continued in the Full metal alchemist movie then it might tie up the loose ends of the movie...

Like what happened to wraith, since he is tenical immoratal he can just conitue to live... Unless he now wants the stone to recreate his "mother"...

Gluttony is still out there so, n even more brainless then before...

Neway thats what i think...

Didnt Gluttony and Dante kill each other in the elevator

I don't believe that they killed each other, or there would have been bodies. Instead, an empty elevator, with a hole in it was shown. As was stated before, it implied that Gluttony ate her. Of course since nothing was shown, so the writers could come up with an alternative fate if they chose to at some later date.

To those who have finished watching the series, go and watch the movie, its set 2 years after the last episode from the series! ^^
