Umm excuse me, can anybody tell me what are the credits for, and how do you lose or gain credits?

We earn credits by contribuating to the site. But actually, we don't earn any credits by posting/commenting now, I've read it is a bug that isn't prioritary... and this bug has appeared at the same time than the fdq.
