I usually answer the phone with "Yo"because only the people I know, know my phonenumber =)

my reply's "hello?" in the most friendly tone

I pick up the phone and talk lol...joking, I just say hey/hi/hello/hallo whichever...

my first word would be 'hello?'

"allo" since it's the french way... and "Bonjour".

hmmm i only have a cell phone...so it deppends on who is calling me, if it is my best friend vincent i say yo wazup or how's it going?

if it's a adult i ask in a more polite way(as that what you call it?)

Well,if I don't know the number I say my name,but if I see that it's my friend I say yo,hello,hi,whaz up or something like that.

At home normally "yes?", but on the mobile "YES!".
There was a time when i answered at home "im here, who's there?"

Since I usually say, 'ya' in my sentences; I've fused hello and 'ya' into 'yallo'....

If I did not know the person who is calling. I would say "hello" normally, but if it is a person I know, I would say "hi" and their name.

Since this is Australia, and most people that call me speak English, I say "hello?"

I always say just 'yes?' but as I think in it, it's very annoying for that person who'd like to talk to me, because he can't know if it's me or not or sg.... XP oh I don't care, I got used to it

usualy i just say hello, but sometimes i just like to scream really loud into the phone. especially if its someone who wants to sell me something (i have an id box so i know whos calling)

If I don't know who it is (like if it's a house phone) I do a normal "hello?", but if it's somebody that I know (who calls my cellphone), then it varies from "yello?" to "wei?" or "yeah?".

when I don't know who's calling, I say, "Pizza Hut, this is Frank how can i help you?" If it was a friend that was calling me, he would recognize the joke and point it out. If it was a telemarketer, they'll just hang up.

If it's my friends, I say "What's up?" "Hey!" "Yello!"
To people I don't know, "hello" or "yes" will do.

Now... If it's a bad day for me, I say... "What the hell do you want?"

If it's someone I know I say "Mmm?"
If someone I dont know I just say my name.
