Where those blue flowers originally part of the scan? If not those should
probably be replaced. They appear too flat which kind of bothers me for this
piece. Also the mini moons could have been a bit smoother on their outlines.
Also are those like ice spikes or something? It kind of confused me. Anyhow like
you said the extraction of the scan really needs work.
only thing i don't see right is well....
the extraction, I dunno if it was intentional, but i see so much white lines and
spots over it.
Otherwise it works well.
The flowers don't really work perhaps, IMO, when you have the characters wearing
something intense marroon and having such bright flowers in front it may be
weird, and the characters themselves are kinda poor in quality, the planetery
scene also seem out of place, IMO, the wallpaper has too many elements in it and
the overall idea is well conrtructed, but otherwise too much. But counting on
your style, I think it is great
One thing however, beside the character extraction, I seriously cannot see
anything wrong with it.
It is unique, or perhaps too unique
also, did you make the entire background of planets yourself?
Hm...the charas themselves are really low quality. Since they're the focus of
the wall, it can be deleted just for that. Other than that, none of the elements
really fit together. The charas definitely don't go with the highly polished bg,
the moon on the left looks a bit cut-&-paste, and the flatly b&w
butteflies don't go with the flowers. It's an interesting concept, but it needs
some work.
I really think it's a good piece, apart from 1 small thing - the text placement
makes it a bit unclear to read, and it is a bit blocky in places. Aside from
that I think it works quite well, despite the low res of the characters.
the extraction wasn't intentional. i sucked at that and i will admit i rushed
this work. but i cannot help it.
i don't make walls just for the sake of making them. i make them for people
important to me. and well, i just had to finish this wallpaper as soon as i can,
unless i would want that person to miss it.
i cannot always rely on everyone's opinions. i mean, sometimes, i just gotta do
what i gotta do. and the outcome whether the whole world likes it or not doesn't
matter as much if i don't get to give my wallpaper on time for the person, the
people, i intend to give it to.
it's pointless for me to have something so perfect yet i don't get to give it to
the very people i would want to please.
still, i appreciate crits. as i could use them for my future endeavors, and for
my own improvment as well
First thing, at least Koi put in an effort TO post it. Good on ya!
Aside from the extraction, it appears all right. But of course, art has no
limits, no boundaries, no rights vs wrong. It's your idea. Whatever suits you,
is, and will be, art.
a deleted wallpaper here at Minitokyo. I was adviced to share it here in the sandbox. please share your comments aside from extraction problems.. ^^
