I was recalling the other day about Robot Carnival, an anime that included many stories, romantic, action.... each story has different plot, characters and animation, but are related because the main character is always a robot. I remember that this was one of the first jap animations that I saw and produced me a great impression and interest in anime.

The stories I like the most are: Starlight Angel, Deprived and Presence.

Which are yours?

Well, I've only seen it once, and it was a while ago, so I don't exactly remember what each of the stories were like. I'd probably have to see it again to make some kind of judgement about that. A friend of mine has the VHS copy of it, so I suppose I could bug him about it and watch it again. The main things I remember about the experience was that I thought it was very cool in an artistic sort of way... and that my friend would really like to have a legitimate DVD release. :P

I still have it on VHS, maybe it's time I record it to DVD.
I don't think there will be an official DVD re-release of it because of the current anime fan base lack of interest. My favorite parts were Tale of Two Robots and Nightmare

I even have the music on CD! Though I had to burn a copy of it in chronological order, because the original CD does not have it's music arranged that way.

Yes, I saw it when I was a child. I think that the strangest one was the one with a princes and some warriors protecting her. And I remember too one in wich the main character becomes himself a robot, just touching his fist together. I think they were four different stories...
It, with Mazinger and Voltron, are the oldest Mecha animes that I remember.
