In my case it would be collecting all You're Under Arrest and Patlabor
serise.
some of them I got in DVD but rest took me ages to download via torrent.
also never got to finish the Slam Dunk, stuck at episode 70 and now can't find
the rest.
Before I knew of a store that sold any form of Anime or Manga, I couldn't get my
hand on anything.. until the end of September, last year. A good friend of mine
said that there was a store called 'Sheffield Space Centre' in the Town Centre
of my city, which you now obviously know the name of..
Though I still can't get my hands on some of the more recently released
Anime/Manga, I know I'll still end up being able to get them, now that I know of
somewhere that sells them.
I did! Especially when it comes to Anime that aren't being aired anymore or
episodes from Animes that are not known widely x.x Soukyuu no Fafner episodes
are quite hard to get nowadays on Bittorent... x.x
I don't think ANY anime's hard to find as long as you known some good websites.
Not just the popular mainstream ones, but the obscure ones you find on page 26
of google or something; those websites usually have everything
As far as buying anime goes, I found it difficult to find the original Oh! My
Goddess OVA dvd's since they were out of print for some time before my search (I
did manage to find them though online at some obscure site). They are being
rereleased remastered though, so I'll have to get the new ones.
Now I have a hard time finding the Fatal Fury OVA/Movie dvd's for friends that
want them (I believe they are also out of print). When somethings hard to find
in an actual store though, it's not so hard finding them online, so I actually
wouldn't say it's all that difficult finding anything; you just need to know
where/how to look.
It was difficult to find shows like Basilisk or Starship Operators that can take
a long time to finish (over a year in these occasions) due to licensing issues.
It's impossible to find something that doesn't exist. Another one that was tough
to get was Samurai Gun.
As much as I'd like to buy the anime I watch on DVD it's kinda hard to find it
in my country(at least the ones Im interested) only thing in DVD you will find
here is Pokemon and one or two movies of Dragon Ball Z and each anime DVD its
around $70 USD so I have to buy on e-bay unlucky me eventough the anime is
"cheap" on e-bay due to custom fees and stuff I end up paying $70 the
difference is that at least I can find the anime Im looking for, Recently I
bought Full Metal Panic and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
And if we're talking about downloaded anime... well licensed series are a pain
in the ass I just watched one episode of E's Otherwise and kinda like it so now
Im looking for more episodes but can't find more than 10 out of 26
episodes.
P.S. If anyone knows where I cand find the other episodes send me a PM :p
I really CAN'T find Full Moon wo Sagashite! ;__; *cry* I would be very happy if
anyone knows a side where I can download the bittorrent 'cause I can't find it a
tokyotosho.com! ;__; the one who know a site please write i my guestbook or send
ma message! ^__^
HONTO ARIGATOU!
If you are a collector I find it more difficult to find artboxes. Especially
when they go out of production. Like the Samurai Champloo artbox. Man did that
tick me off! I tried finding it everywhere. Even ebay! I saw it on there once
and it went for like $250 and that was too rich for my blood. So I usually don't
have a hard time finding anime it is the collectors sets that I have a hard time
finding.
I must confess, I really don't know how to use the bittorent, I guess is easier
using mIrc. In Brazil, is not difficult to find animes. There are many subbers
here and, thank God, we are publishing Fruits Basket. The problem is to find an
anime that I like, as Gakuen Alice, the subbers don't have it. I did find it,
but just in an american mIrc channel. Personally, I guess is harder to find a
manga series than a anime series, 'couse Viz is publishing everything I like and
I can't buy...
I don't really have trouble finding anime that I want to download, they're
usually everywhere. However, it was rather hard to acquire the Burn Up! series
and Gravion Zwei. Those took me the longest time to get.
In terms of buying, I've already bought everything I want to own, so no problems
there.
When I was searching for that prevert anime it took me so long!I watched so many
diffrent animes but couldn't find a one I really connected to.That is untill I
started watch Inuyasha.I like how it has modern yet medival all packed into.
I almost have to find my anime by torrents and sharing programs cause here is
not quite often to find anime... But they take so much time to download....
sometimes I can only watch some episodes and leave the anime at the middle of
it.
Ai Yori Aoshi v1 with box (I got lucky at amazon.com and got the last legit one
at that time at half ebay's price Mwhaaaha,) Legend of Himiko was also a hard
one took 1-2 years and got scammed once by an ebay screwball who sent a pirate
instead of a legit.
Yep, I have limited resources, I suppose. I don't tend to buy anime because I'm
against using up all my parents money (they owe me big for not costing as much
as my brothers). Bittorrents aren't happy with me and I'm an IRC n00b. Thus, I'm
stuck with Limewire, VNL (which is pretty damn good) and youtube.
One anime that I found really hard finding was gravion zwei
Ichigo 100%, it's hard to find seeder to seed back Ichigo 100%...
Now exactly, in my city there's so hard to find an anime serie >< I try to download it by bitcomet but only 1 ep up to now! Always being interrupt!
Yeah, Ichigo is hard, but one that has been very illusive to me is a picture of two D.C girls in like, a slumber party scene.
In my case it would be collecting all You're Under Arrest and Patlabor serise.

A word of advice
you should use bittorrent if its that hard
the only thing i found hard is when animes go licensed and i can't find them

Some long (and mostly old) series like Captain Tsubasa, Urusei Yatsura, Crayon Shin-chan and many not-so-known-but-still-good titles.

Buying animes?
lolz to me i only collect the ones i LOVE
e.g Gundam Seed
the Dub animes i'm waiting atm are ichigo and air
they rock!
I am having trouble finding more of Mahou Shoujotai have to ep 14 and want more also want to get Gravion Zwei but can't find!
If you want to find older anime's try using Emule or some other p2p software, BitTorrent only have new anime most of the time!
Ai Yori Aoshi v1 with box (I got lucky at amazon.com and got the last legit one at that time at half ebay's price Mwhaaaha,) Legend of Himiko was also a hard one took 1-2 years and got scammed once by an ebay screwball who sent a pirate instead of a legit.
Bleach because all the pages that i found didnt work
