What did you think was the scariest Resi game? Give some reasons or moments
please. For me it was Resi 1 remake. The great character modelling really
hammered in a scare. Lisa and the crimson heads weren't a nice surprise either.
I almost died when the dogs jumped through the window though.
Resident Evil 1 of course, for the time the graphics were amazing. the scariest
moment in the game, at leas for me, was when a huge frog like monster jumped out
of nowhere in a narrow hallway, the first time it chopped my head off
I reckon Resident Evil 4. It was the only one where I was CONSTANTLY expecting
enemies, actively looking for them, yet still getting the shit scared outta me
whenever they came outta nowhere. LoL.

ditto. that scared the living shit out of me, especially the people with the
chainsaws, and the dudes with those huge wolverine like claws, and those guys
with the knives within them. scary as hell
mmmm I wonder, the second one was the first one I played and I was a kid so it
really scared me ...a lot, but the third one was creepy too, becouse of that
nemesis jumping at you out of nowhere, I mean, I was always freak out playing
it, expecting the damn monster to come.
As for RE4, is the best RE so far in IMHO but it didn`t scare me. maybe I have
grow up or maybe they just didn`t put much atention in the surprise factor.
Snacky smores the creature that killed you was a hunter. Nasty buggers... I
didn't find Resi 4 scary(I was always reassured by the stock pile of ammo you
get) but it was probably the best. Imagine Resi 5....sprinting zombies...
Resident evil one for the ps1 the first it came out afther you erase then you
play in hard the camera view changes it view gives you more creeps wondering
where there are and this wasnt there before afther resident evil and up doesnt
give much scare on shocks and suprises
melancholy47, that's right hunters I remember now. the crows were sort of scary
too, they stared at you and when you least expected it they started to peck the
hell out your character.
Resident Evil is nowhere as scary as Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, at least
you've got guns.
But back to the topic, Resident Evil 4 probably the most... frightening. The
background music ios pretty spooky, e.g. A strange Pasture, go search for it if
you want to know what I mean.
And because of the new aiming system, there's a lot of ways you can get
backstabbed, whereas the previous one have this auto-targeting system.
Plus you can see your character from a distance and not in the character's
perspective like RE4.

agreed, but hill gave you guns, a big ass knife, mace that you couldnt swing and
then baseball swings in 4.
but the first (remake counts aswell right?) was the scariest. hunters, then
crimson heads plus it had atmoshpere. although the remake gets a point off cause
of the tazer. that just made it fun to be caught and tazering the tyrant is just
frickn cool.
Resident Evil 4, I agree, is the scariest. I own them all, even the remakes on
GC. Res 1 remake was very good, i admit, but when you play the
"mission" mode in rez 4, you got those townsfolk crawling out of the
woodwork with pitchforks and chainsaws from all directions as if you blasphemed
against some eighteenth century christians. truly scary, especially when you try
to find a nice corner to hide in on the "town" map and the hordes
descend en mass.

The remake of the first one by far, the Crimson Heads are the scariest Resident Evil enemy EVER

RE4 definitly looks that way to me
Resident Evil wasnt scary to me. Silent Hill was.
Dude in the case of the RE series I would say Bio Hazard on the Game Cube!
But personaly I believe that Fatal Frame 2 and 3 were insane....
The first sinlent hill was scary for me
The first resident evil lives up to the topic. Always freaked out when the crows or dogs break into the windows out of nowhere...

One of the best things I like about resident evil is the bad acting in the first one it was so bad and funny to
