there are quite a few things i see worng with this wallpaper

1, the character is poorly cut out
2, the liquifiy effect behind the scan does not work at all ver bold and plain looking
3, the use of brushes seem s ok though very random, the leaves at the front dont fade into the wall like the bigger ones in the background, so it looks wrong
4, the fonts you have used are ok but you havent line up the ' buringing heat' inline with the line a bove it, it needs to be pulled to the left abit as it looks out of place and just quickly put together.

overall to me it doesnt look like you have put much effort into making this wallpaper it it needs some major changes.

Take time cutting out the character and create a background around that character, somthing that will compliment it well.

first things first - cut out the character. the swirly smokey effect? Not good. Once she's totally extracted put appropriate filters back in, but not the ones you have now. you're right that this is a neat pic, but it needs to be supported by the background. I can see that you picked the leaves to echo the flower petals or flames with the character. I would suggest instead finding a flower petal brush, or leaving the petals around her and taking the leaves out entirely. Becaus she is in a moving pose, she will be more dramatic on a background that is not as busy. Because her colors are very dramatic, you should limit the colors in the background because right now the orange leaves are grabbing the eye more than the character. If you are going to name the image burning heat, try for a more exciting font! The color gradient in the background is appropriate to the character. Lots more work to do for this if you want to do the character justice.

Please link to the image, and post a thumb if you'd like. The wall is cut off if you post it straight to the thread. :)
