Please give reason for you belief. :)

Oh come one, man. I thought you strat with your argument

I belive man is image of God. Even though no human can run from sin but God never bored to forgive His Servant if His servants really ask His Mercy :)

Why man is image of God?
You can acquire the answer if you read sachiko murata"s book (have title: Vision of Islam)

I believe something different than your two presented options. I personally think that humans may just be as powerful a being as we get. Religion takes the pressure off of us for the most part. Now things happen because God wanted them to. We succeed or fail because of the power of God. We live so that we can please God. It is ultimately we are here with no real reason or purpose of our own, just living for God.

Man concievably has the power to end life on this earth. With all of the weapons technology this world has accrued, it is easily possible. If not now, it will be soon enough. Maybe what we do isn't sin, it's just living. Why do I have to feel bad about everything I do. Why does feeling good have to be a sin. I think humans are humans. Just a different species of a living being on this earth.

Sincs I don't believe in god, I'm going to say sinful.

Ever since our ancestors have stood upright we've done nothing but slaughter one another...even scientific discoveries often profited from death.

We will simply continue to destory one another until there's nothing left and the surface of the Earth stands as a desolate, endless graveyard

@draken
how can you be so sure-truth never exist in order to survive you must be build for kill?

for me, it looks like monsters civilization :)where strong is winner takes it all

Well mans obviously sinful and imperfect, but man was created in gods image according to the bible, therefore it stands within reason that god himself is imperfect. If god were perfect than so would this world be. Animals have the right ideas of survival, mans biggest downfall is greed, a desire to have more and take more.

A little come column âAâ and a little from column âBâ. It all depends on the person after all everyone in the world is different that is why Heave and Hell and a complete lack there of is so personal. The Heaven for you and the Hell for you would be quite different than that of your friends so the images of God are sinful for if they weren't they would already be God. ;)

why you all Guys...really likes this sinful stuff.

even it right no one of us is not free from sin, but His Forgiveness Door never close until die and Judgment Day

I think humans were meant to sin. We've been sinning ever since the beginning of time, and will be sinning until the end of time. No matter how hard one tries to 'be a good person,' there will always be sins that one might not think about.

I mainly feel this way because I'm more Agnostic.... maybe a little atheist. Meh.

Both I guess. ...Unless you were conceived in a virgin's womb I guess....?

i dont believe God to be in mans image, unless of course God evolves. then i guess it could be that way.

Define sin? If it's biblical then it's most likely true, we are born from original sin, so even as babies, we are of the sin seed. If sin is not religious, then it comes into the relative world again where it's not restricted, but is now in the eyes of society and how other's view it. Thus, a person that commits murder for instance is considered a sinner. However, what if that person does not see it as a crime of any sort, what if that person grew up in an environment that considers it normal. Bleh, I'm going into the what if's again, it's all relative and usually the majority rules.

One thing though that bothers me most is PC, political correctness. It's the minority that rules then, cause it's to make the few feel more like part of society?!? I dunno, but if I see a female waitress, I don't want to have to call her a server if there's a guy waiter next to her...

I'd say either neither or both.

Personaly I believe God was made in the image of man - male patriarch, father figure, parent, lord to be feared yet loved, war-leader (Old Testament), judge, sheperd, etc. Those are man-made concepts. These concepts existed while man were worshipping trees and the moon, years before Abram changed his name to Abraham.

We tell ourselves that we are born sinfil and therefore imperfect. That is to prevent us from getting arrogant and demand passage to heaven. We should be meek and humble and basically beg forgiveness to get on the heaven waiting list.

If you take on this viewpoint, man is man, a biological creature, born as is. Without sin, yet with relative moral obligations in its own social environment.

The other view point tells us that we are in the image of God, but while we are in the image of God, therefore a copy of the most divine and perfect entity imaginable, we are still sinfill and imperfect. Something went wrong with the copying process. That doesn't make sense to me (then again, a LOT of arguments comming from the pew never made sense and never will make sense).

Anyway, thats just my viewpoint.

images of God,i don't want 2 offend ne1 in what i say though

i thinkso beacause, yes,we do sin.But God knows that is part of our nature,i don't think that we're both completely because although we sin,we are all God's children. And lyk a child,we r a likeness of him

We are creatures of god, and that god is sin. Everything considered a sin contibutes to the continuation of our race. My god is my genes, and I will do what it takes to pass them on.

this ones hard to say, but i think humans are sinful creatures, i don't quite think were in the image of god, if so maybe physically.hehe. but were sinful since god gave us the power to act on our own.

"The fundamental nature of human life is chaos! This chaos is what causes us to pursue what we blindly seek without knowing what we are or what we want! Without chaos, man is sinless!" Let's put the image of god idea aside and think of how to purify one's soul from chaos, then think of how to reach a higher plane of existence, then think of the image......! People tend to jump on the either the extreme right or extreme left of something! TOO BAD! VERY BAD! AND ABSOLUTELY WRONG!

We have the power of free will, and we abuse that power by being sinfull. ^_^

i think both..

a sinful creature that is an image of God..
image of god doesn't mean we are God.. ^^
but we have lots in comum.. XD
hehe

humans are sinful creatures, and I believe that God made his greatest mistake (besides cockroaches) when he created us.

sinful creatures? i tink not.
But neither are we images of god(tho i dun believe in god)
humans are juz humans, what we are.
We are nth else, nor anything else us.

I guess that god created us on his immage, but he gave us free will,so we turned out to be sinnful creatures *lol*

God created man in his image... then man fell and we lost touch with our souls. The spirit is in the image of God, while the body is in the image of the ways we live.

Yes. ^_^

Seriously, cyberfrogX pretty much explained it. But what I think needs to be said here is that "sin" isn't what most people think it is. If you were to ask your average nonbeliever, they would probably say that sin is "evil, doing bad things like stealing and murder." While those things certainly are evil and sinful, sin itself is more than only "bad things".

To understand sin we have to understand at least a little about the nature of God. God is pure good: nothing of him exists that is evil. In fact, you could say that He is Good Incarnate. (though He's pure spirit and not corporeal as we are) It is from Him that all things we consider "good" come from: happiness, joy, peace, etc.. God is also perfect, completely without flaw. This may sound fantastic, as our limited minds are incapable of comprehending perfection when it simply isn't possible in the world we know anymore than an existence outside of linear time. But God is without flaws as we know them. (For the record, anger is not a flaw: it's what you do with that anger that makes it good or evil)

If God is Good and Perfection Incarnate, then, what would rebelling against God be? It's evil and imperfection, pure and simple. And that's what sin is: deliberate rebellion against God. That's also why we consider sin to be "evil": it is opposed to Good (God). Likewise, owning a "sin nature" means more than simply being evil deep down inside. What it really means is that each person is born flawed and apart from God. The fact that there are so many people who don't believe in God attests to this condition of being born outside His direct presence. It is this sin nature, this condition of being born apart from God, that leads us into doing things that are not pleasing to God, i.e., are sinful. So we aren't sinners because we sin...we sin because we're sinners: it's in our nature to do so.
