can anyone share their own personal ghost stories?

i was planning on compiling ghost stories that had happened to real peopl!

hmmm, well this happened when I was too young to remember, so I dont know how true it is, but from what I've heard I used to live in a haunted house. The house was old and had had a housefire in it one time, you could tell because the basement was all black and burned up. You would see lights going up and down the stairs sometimes and in my closet there was something I would talk to sometimes, and other times I would be scared and it would smell like fire and smoke in my room...
Its an interesting story I guess, its too bad I cant remember though.
