First of all I prefer street fighters over KOF only because I feel KOF is limited in the games....Thats my opinion so yeah...just curious of your opinion. =D

definitley street fighter. its so much more popular. they are in games like marvel vs capcom and namco x capcom. the combos they do look so much better. king of fighters has more characters and u can form ur own team but i rather play street fighter any day since i like thier effects more than king of fighters

I am not really skilled in KOF and the buttons combo seems more difficult so, I prefer SF

KOF All the way. The series has a better story and at least the bad guys keep changing. The characters are better too and seem to have better profiles and detail to them than the SF crew.
The moment I got into KOF, I discarded SF and never really returned...well, as a favoured game anyway. I loved it more and the style of it too.
The character were more bearable and they seem to fit more a normal life and job than the characters from SF.
Pop star Athena is my favourite. She helped me finished KOF96 which was the 1st one I played.

Long time ago I started with SF and since then I have played every street fighter game there is. Actually I love both SF and KOF, but because I played SF first I have a slight preference.
I think these games shouldn't be in 3D because it somehow disturbs the gameplay, namely the KOF moves.

Hard to say for me. Personally, I love both Street Fighter and King of Fighters. Both have good storylines, characters, and their own unique fighting systems. Since I first started with Street Fighter, I'll put my vote for SF.

Nothing beats street fighter when it comes to 2d fighting games. It's a classic and still retains it popularity up to this day. Although, when I go to the arcade's I still get my butt wooped

King of Fighters is terrible. The controls are too strict, jump ins don't have enough stun, and there are no tricks involved. You just poke and short jump until you have an opening for a combo.

And 3rd strike isn't "all about parrying". The only person I've seen whore parry is Aruka and he uses it maybe 4 times a round.

I agree KOF feels too limited and the combos dont connect well....but for Street Figher III strike, parrying is a skill and when I mean ITS ALL ABOUT PARRYING means that III strike fighting system beats KOF's countering system

i have to say street figter, i grew up with ken and ryu , guile blanka and BISON! THE MAN!, and kof kinda seems like a knockoff street fighter sorry.

I have played both but not all of them. I have to say that I like King of Fighters more. Mainly because there are more characters and there are teams.

When Capcom vs SNK, I only used the KOF players. I think they were better and Capcom did a good job cartooning the characters to fit with the SF people.
But I think most people here are refering to SF3 3rd Strike? Because I didn't enjoy the Alpha series. KOF98 stood out as the most memorable one for me as SF3 did for the Capcom side.

i'll have 2 go with street fighter on this one. ryu, ken, and akuma can slaughter anyone from KOF. but dont get me wrong, i love KOF as well. it's just that street fighter is more memorable and had the most popularity. and also, the fighting is also a bit faster than on KOF. the faster, the better-or maybe that's just me.
