children. I just wonder why lord Uzumi didn't adopt both of them. Why do they
need to seperate them? Anyway, I prefer lord Uzumi to the real father of
Cagalli. Lord Uzumi gives Cagalli a big love and does everything for her
happiness. Dr Hibiki uses his son for experiment..... No words to say

I think Kira and Cagalli's true identities were hiddent from them to protect
them from Dr Hibiki's enemies. I think that aspect of the story was inspired by
Star Wars. In the background episode [around E14 I think] there were still shots
of coordinators being shot by Blue Cosmos. One of the dead women looked like
Kira/Cagalli's mother with a baby in a blanket lying beside her body. I don't
know if that's true or not, but those images showed someone who looked like Dr
Hibiki being assasinated as well.
I think Kira would have been a particularly strong target if his identity were
known because he was the proof that his fathers work was real, that a perfectly
made to order child was possible, making having a coordinator for a child even
more desirable. Cagalli was probably seperated from him for her protection, in
case he was discovered.
Also, Lord Uzumi probably didn't want to leave the psychological pressure on the
children of knowing all their lives that [Kira] was only an experiment and
[Cagalli] was unwanted by her own father.
So, kind of long winded but my 2cents anyway.

cagalli dead! i'm probably the one and only cagalli hater fan here! haha!
when Lord Uzumi met with Kira's adoptive parents, they said that Uzumi promised
that they wouldn't meet again, that the children aren't supposed to find out
about each other. so like bluemoon said, Cagalli was separated from Kira for
their protections.

and i think it was a twin and dr hibiki got one of the two(kira) and made him a
coordinator and cagalli was naturally born and thats why kira is a coordinator

The real father of Cagalli Yula Athha, well since there was not much info about
the twins, I still think Ulen Hibiki was the real father since Kira was the
other twin and well he was the son and Rau refers to the twins being alive after
Ulen was killed, also the image of the twins when they were babies meant they
were Via's (the real mother) and well just on from there would make more sense
that Ulen was the real father and since the Yamato's said they wouldnt need to
