Well, aside from anything else in the wallpaper, the first thing I'm not sure
about is the scan. I'm not sure if this is a "family" friendly
wallpaper- it may sound stupid- but nonetheless it is a criteria for wallpaper
submission.
The box is a bit fuzzy (the lines), and there really is no need to put
minitokyo.net on the box. Overall the text is too enpowering- it's large, and it
draws more focus than the actual scan. Text should be kept fairly simple (but
not something crappy like comic sans, if that makes any sense). So the bevelling
etc will probably have to go- and the text smaller, but I do like the idea of
having text on an angle thingy.
The background... I would have probably kept to browns and oranges to complement
the scan more. Overall it's a bit empty and the moon looks blurry and not of
very good quality.
To answer your question in the first post, my answer would probably be
"no"- it's not a bad wallpaper (it has excellentextraction, in fact <3), but unfortunately more
aspects of the wallpaper would cause deletion rather than allow it to stay in
the gallery had you submitted this. The concept is there and it's pretty good-
probably the background and quality elements need to be improved somewhat Kudos

I would agree with most of the above mentioned. I think it might be better
actually putting the title of the anime floating outside into the space used for
the Minitikyo txt. The background doesnt really work with the theme of the scan
or the colours so let your creativity go and mess around with a background to
fit in a little better.
Great scan quality and extraction so I look forward to seeing the next version
of this wallie. ^_^*
The bg image of the moon in very blurry. You could try making a planet from
scratch. Also, if you're interested in a more complicated star field, artofgregmartin.com
has a nice-looking tutorial.

ok, i've totally redesigned the wally.
kept it in line with what NGE is about.
Never once thought about a FAMILY wallpaper. i've always thought of it more of
an adult thing. but hey, i have kids too.
Have to say I think the original concept worked better. Here, the charas are cut
off by the star field, so they look rather like floating heads. the chara
ghosted on the moon also looks a bit off.
The bg isn't a bad start, but the composition lacks focus. Perhaps you should
begin by choosing one chara image to build the wall around, then work on
blending that one chara image into the bg.

i got the image from this site, and spent quite a bit of time on the extraction.
this is the first draft and critisizm well taken.
For some reason i had 2001 - A Space Oddesy in my brain, kinda like a song that you cant get out of there.
