Is it a gaming keyboard, or a versatile multimedia platform? I picked
up one of these keyboards a couple days ago, and I still haven't placed all the
functions on this board!
It has your standard keys, plus an additional 18 "G" keys. You can
program these keys to perform numerous functions, like my favorite game,
Battlefield 2. In fact it can automatically assign your G keys to any game in
your system (you WoW fans will benefit from this). Now, on top of the having the
18 G keys, you also have 3 "M" keys. These keys can help your G keys
program more functions for your computer, sort of like a profile! So, you pretty
much have 52 programmable keys!
Ah.....but it isn't over yet.......
This keyboard also has a back-lit LCD display that you can flip up of down. This
display can track your gaming progress (ie. life left, rounds remaining, etc),
your CPU clock, memory speed, e-mail, a countdown timer, stopwatch, and displays
the current day, date and time. It also has a rotating volume control knob and
multimedia keys for music and videos. You can even download free programs to
further enhance the functionality of the LCD monitor, like putting a pet on
it.......... I recently downloaded the program to track the data transfer bit
rate of my internet speed.
Finally, for us Night Owls, the keys themselves are lighted! You can even dim
the LCD and the keys to your liking. My only problem is that the keyboard is a
little crowded. They should have made the keyboard a little bigger, if not a
little more spaceous....
I really like this keyboard and I recommend it to anyone who was thinking about
buying one.
Have anyone bought one of these boards? If so, what do you think about it?
