I have seen both and I have my likes and dislikes of both versions. I just want to know what you like or don't like about the Japanese/English version and which you like better.

I think the japanese version better, because of the funny sounds sakura makes all the time! I didn't see it in english, but I think this would be another atmosphere. I think she's so cute! Generally I think the japanese voices so cute and funny!

E......errr......JAPANESE>>>

HAnyAannn....

Thank you for replying. I really do appreciate it. I'm new at this online community thing.

Well i guess i liked the japanese better because the english version tends to cut stuff out and when you go from watching japanese to english or vise virsa it's like O.o but then again in english at least you don't have to read subtitles ^.^

Japanese for me and for the same reason as flitzmausi and Chikane.
The Voices are way better, plus there are no cuts

THIS IS WHAT I HEARD:
My friends says that the English version (Which I thnk is called Card Captors) has some stuff cut out.
I personally don't like english dubs. Sometimes, even after the mass research they do on the language, some translations from japanese to english are just messed up.
Japanese for it's not censored and it's original, straight from Japan.

Japanese version hands down for me.

Besides the fact that I just plainly hate dubs, the dub version of CCS cuts off a ridiculous amount of important scenes and put them ALL as flashback and makes you wonder when the heck did that happen and you practically can't tell what episode was before or after the one before you just watched (or at least that was my case. Truthfully I had absolutely no idea what episode or what was happening when I watched the dub on TV)

But thats just me you know XD

Japanese, it just sounds cuter imo

I prefer the Japanese version of almost all animes instead of English or any other language... I watched CCS Japanese and Spanish Dub, anyway i think japanese voices are better

japanese, the english dub was terrible!

I normally prefer Japanese, but...in this case, I think this was the only series I could stand in English. Course...this was YEARS ago....probably the Japanese. I like things in their original voice. I'm really good at reading the subtitles now. Fast reader. Lolz. :)

Japanese is way better....because it's original...japanese is such a nice language and it ring so well...i first watch CCS in french and believed me...it's horrible...sakura seems like a child and scared of everything...but recently...i watch in japanese and she's more grown up....english...well...they're kinda repetitive so i don't like...

erm.... JAPANESE! all the way!
I hate the english verson! *throws it out the window*
nothing more said.

I don't know why someone would like better the english version since it's heavily cut (see that I didn't mention the universal dub "problem"). I have seen one episode in english, japanese and french and I think it's weird they cut in the american version when Sakura shouts cause she's afraid of ghosts even if actually she was just surprised by other people... or maybe this idea of being afraid is unfit for american children... even if actually I have a more sensible explanation : the japanese version have different lenghts and it's relatively long, so to have more advertisement, it's better to cut.

I've only ever seen the dubbed series so I can't really comment on the japanese version.

But I have seen the 2 Cardcaptor movies and I can say the both audios on the 1st movie were fine and I enjoyed watching it. However the audio in the 2nd movie: The Sealed card was beyond bad. I went from Japanese to English in a failed attempt to find a version that didn't remind me of someone running their fingernails down a chalk board, urk! I unwillingly settled for the English with subtitles to take my attention of of the terrible dub. But fortunately the story wasn't on the same terrible level, and I enjoyed the animation of the movie.

don worry we were all newbies once.
anyway...heres what i think.

cardcaptors has changed the personalities, the voices, the background and the plot of the original cardcaptor sakura.
i really hated it because later when i found out sooo many things have been left out it made me mad. actually u don get to see anything...none of the relationships between sakura n syaoran....touya and kaho...touya n julian/yukito...li and yukito....the teacher n rida....nothing! they don even tell us about sakuras mom....

but then after seeing cardcaptor sakura....u know i feel li's character n the rivalry he has with sakura in cardcaptors is missin...besides i also like tory avalon more than kinomoto touya...

but apart from that ccs is waaay better than cc. least u get to understand y some things that happen , happen.

I saw both two version so i thing: they are the same but i like Japanese vesion just becase the voice,it make me feel that sakura is cutier :))
the voice in English i terrible

japanese of course i kinda of hate those anime that has english dub

I'm a subs person, lol. So I always watch Japanese with the English subtitles. Japanese is the way to go! ^_^

I feel a little redundant saying this but, of course, I can't just shut up! ^^ I found the Japanese version to be much less confusing and, oh, fitting for the characters. From what I've heard, the English version--depending on who's telling--changes ("destroys") the flow of the plot and story. The relationships move differently, too.

The English version I watched changed the names around. I didn't like that at all; Tomoyo is Tomoyo, I can't imagine her name being anything but. Funnily enough, that's my biggest issue with the non-Japanese version. I'm so superficial sometimes.

^ i agree with you i've heard the english version, the relationships are different..so i prefer the japanese version way better and the names are different and the english dubbed isn't very good..

Spanish and Japanese version for me, the english version SUCKS! the story, names EVERYTHING is different and the dubs freak me out >>>

Japanese, certainly. You seem to get a lot more character development going on in the Japense version, as well as better diologue which the English version cut out for censoring. Also, I personally like (most) the voices in the Japense rather than the English.
