Does anyone know if they are planning to make a season 2? I've been looking it
up but haven't found anything, then on the other hand, the series just kinda
abruptly ended...

Yeah, actually the anime doesn't really touch much about Loveless's truth &
mysteriousness, however you can read the manga to know more about it! ^^
The reason that the first season ended so abruptly was because it had caught up
to the manga at the time (it kind of strays but it's rare that the manga/anime
are exact). Since the manga is still being written there is a chance that after
a few more volumes to series may be picked up again.
Also the rumor about dvd sales influencing the possiblity is in reference to the
Ohayo Loveless-Kun episode 6 where fighter-kun said that is sales go well then
there will be a second season. =)
So everyone pray that crack Soubi wasn't lying if
not though MOST animes don't end properly anyway, that's why there's the manga.
Much as I hope there's another season of Loveless, I don't think there will be
for another few years.
This is basically so that the manga can advance a bit more into the storyline,
because it isn't actually that far ahead of the anime. The anime covered quite a
lot of the story in the manga - most of the main points from volumes 1 to 5, I
think...
And nobody wants to see Loveless fillers do they - think of all the Naruto
fillers!
I doubt there's going to be another season, and if there is, it won't be a for
awhile since they need more material from the manga, especially since loveless
is released monthly. I'm glad it was licensed though, the dvd's are actually
quite affordable.

I'unno. The new chapters are being scanlated hella slow, but that doesn't tell
me how fast they're actually released. Anyone who lives in Japan actually know
how quickly each chapter is published?
(Someone said monthly? I thought the chapters were aired individually in a
magazene. If it's one chapter per month, it'll take forever. If it's one VOLUME
per month, that's someting I could deal with.)
It might be on hiatus. If it is, it might never get off that hiatus. But the
series has such a huge following that maybe enough hatemails will get the
producers off their lazy butts. Either way, we're probably in for a rather long
wait.

A second season was definately hinted, but the official site went down for
awhile. There are 7 manga books out, and the Loveless anime ended at the 4th
book. If the 8th book can wrap things up there might be a possibility for a
second season in the works. But Yun Kouga has been taken break after break so we
might have a bit of trouble with that. She's had a tendency to not finish her
works.
I like both Loveless anime and manga. Kouga-sensei has been done a great work.
I'm waiting for the next chapter of Loveless . If there's a season 2, it's
great!
Loveless won't have a 2nd season...(though the 12 ep. can't count for a 1st
season either).....and that's 'cos, as i have said before, those 12 episodes
were to promote the manga......and if i judge from myself the did a very fine
job......'cos practically i'm too hooked to the manga.....
Loveless runs in Zero Sum magazine, which comes out monthly. I believe they have
enough chapters out for at least 9 volumes. The story is pretty much coming to
an end right now.

I love the manga... but I can't find the DVD anywhere to buy. hmm. Perhaps Ebay...
Does anyone know when vol. 8 will come out? They left 7 as a cliffhanger and I'm dying to know what happens!
