I'm trying to a Rey Za Burrel/Rau Le Crueset wallpaper. I'm thinking of
something like a DNA strands background but I seem to have trouble with it. does
anyone have any ideas how to make a nice DNA background using Adobe Photoshop?
Well, you can draw a vertical rectangle down your canvas. Go to filters >
distort (? can't remember) > shear and choose your curve. Experiment a bit
and if the curve isn't what you want, just hit Ctl+Z.
When the curve looks a bit like a sine curve rotated 90 degrees, and you're
happy with it, duplicate the layer, go to Edit> transform> flip
horizontally and there you go... move your dupe to overlap the first layer and
you should have a funky DNA looking thing. Then you can rotate it, make it
bigger or smaller and double click the layer to see the blending modes and other
things. You can add a gradient... texture etc etc and it should look pretty
cool.
Otherwise you might want to googly up some images of DNA and just extract them
from there lol... but make sure you choose the Large Images only option.
